Lore doesn’t support your theory. Just because spiritual beings have their own versions of spirit bodies and spiritual corpses when they die permanently and become Anima doesn’t mean they are bodies of flesh and blood or even physical bodies at all.
When the humans die who eventually become Kyrian for example. They die. Their spirit leaves their body, the Kyrians in charge of ferrying spirits take them to the shadowlands where they strive to become ascended. Yet nothing in quests, lore, or anything at all really indicates they receive a new physical body.
Also, your assumption that soul bonding with maw walkers means they can with any human is also flawed. The only reason maw walkers can see the spiritual realm is because Sylvanas broke the “veil” between life and death by shattering the helm of domination.
Presumably, this will be fixed up and things put back in order by the end of SL expansion meaning even maw walkers will no longer be able to see shadowlands beings.
They’re compatible with the flesh in Maldraxxus, as for what “allows” Maw walkers to actually function in the realm of death, this is explained as the Heart of Azeroth/First One tech allowing for it, conveniently this ability has been shown to transfer to others who are not Maw walkers initially.
The flesh in maldraxxus is also spiritual flesh as they are also spiritual beings… I Mena they kill each other every day then form back up. Normal flesh doesn’t really do that. It’s also where dead warriors go as spirits.
Nothing so far in SL has indicated beings get physical bodies after the moment of death
They don’t “reform”, someone else has to sew the bodies back together, this is shown throughout the zone, until a new body can be found their “souls” just wander around or are contained… it’s clear you have not been observant.
Tourism, apparently Azeroth is an interesting point of discussion since we…will not…shut up…about it…
no seriously count every single time someone displays interest in the living plane, it’s like episode 1 of Rick and Morty where Rick goes to the dimension where getting old doesn’t exist and is an instant celebrity because he’s the only old person there.
The irony being that there are bound to be souls in every realm from Azeroth (and as Thiernax and many others demonstrate other planets as well) to begin with, so it’s not like we should be their first introduction to the living plane.
No…
you’re just thinking of the cool looks but it makes 0 sense.
Why would any of the shadowland races join the Alliance or the Horde? You can’t make them neutral, the whole world that players interact with is builded around the existence of the 2 major playable factions. This not only has to do with the lore but also with how the game is coded and builded.
Why would they care to live in azeroth? They are creatures from the death realm, literally no reason at all to go to the living realm.
How would kyrians be Paladins or priest when they do not use Void or Light magic at all?
WoW already has a tons of races compared to other games for players to choose. Not every single cool race added to the world means we the players must use and play with.
A cosmic threat, much like why the Dranei joined the alliance? The original horde members weren’t even from Azeroth they were from Draenor. If shadowlands races figure out Azeroth is necessary for the reality to stay alive then they would have a reason to want to protect it to.
Lots of it, it takes days for flesh to rot… ever seen a time lapse video of a corpse rotting? It’s a gradual process especially when no decomposers are involved.
That doesn’t make too much sense, and I think even you have to admit that… this is a universe of magic after all… one in which actual resurrection and necromancy is a thing…
Draeneis are living beings to start with.
They’ve had conection with orcs before, with the Naarus, with the Burning Legion, Illidan, etc…
They just landed on azeroth and there’s a story of how they actually join the alliance in their starting zone by attacking the belves and getting help from the night elves and humans.
But Kyrian? they are beings from another realm with 0 knowledge of Azeroth, they have no memories of their former lives. They don’t know what orcs are, or Tauren or Humans… nothing. So they don’t have any motivation at all to join a faction.
In all fairness, the Allied Races were pretty contrived not gonna lie… we try to kill so many Dark Irons in the Alliance intro zones, Void Elves are pretty nonsensical if you put any thought into their being kicked out, Vulpera/Nightborne, etc…
I do want an angel race and I even suggested it a few expansions back.
Honestly they just have to be commanded by the Archon to help protect the mortal realms, just like any other race. Angels irl defend people and stuff. Some of the Kyrian are also former azeroth people. The Kyrians are embracing a philosophy of choosing to keep memories or not. Any new Kyrians would maybe want to keep protecting azeroth, simlar to how death knights already come back from death to do that. It isn’t a big stretch or much different from dks.
If you go take a walk around Bastion, you will see many Azerothian souls there training to be kyrians, one is a highmountain npc who we did questing with and died for example.
Dark Irons splitted during cataclysm where some followed Moira and the others not.
I have problems with Void elves and Mag’har orcs tho.
Void elves they kinda make sense tho, it’s kinda bad explained but it does. I just don’t like it because they could’ve just gone with high elves, and the existence of Void elves kinda ruins the RP game for shadow priests belves.
Why would the Archon send Kyrians to save mortals when they actually need mortals to die so they can continue with the cycle of death. They literally need anima from dead mortals to exist.
They are not angels, they are kyrians. They don’t defend people, they just carry the souls to shadowlands and done.
