She’s not in her usual spot in Booty Bay. There are a bunch of us waiting for her.
OCE was said to have a 10am start time for the event, and that was hours ago.
These sorts of events are typically linked to Pacific Standard Time (PST) and the event isn’t scheduled to start until tomorrow at 10am PST I believe. It should show up in your in-game calendar too with the time it launches.
It is in the in game calendar and does show as being today at 10am (which was over 3 hours ago here). All the other events are on the correct time and day so I don’t see why this one would be different
Then the calendar should reflect that, but it does not.
I just checked my calendar its shows to be active on the 19 and today is the 18 i would try a UI reset if its not showing the 19
Today is the 19th for OCE players.
Right but all events are universal so they would have to start the same time as everyone otherwise they would be unfair advantages so it would assume to be NA time i would think.
Blizz needs to update their calendars for anyone who isn’t in the US, then. There are a lot of us sitting here.
That is correct. ALL calendar events from Blizzard events are in Pacific time.
But it doesn’t need updating. The calendar shows the same for everyone in the NA region (which includes Oceania, Latin America, & Brazil). All the times are Pacific time – no matter what server you are on at the time.
If I could reply with a photo, I would. The OCE calendar says 19/09 (today) at 10am (almost four hours ago). If it’s 10am Pacific time, then we’re looking at roughly a 3am start for this event?
post it to imgr and remove the hyperlink or put spaces.
I can understand the misunderstanding, but it is the correct date & time when you account for ALL calendar times/dates being for Pacific time.
But they aren’t all in pacific time - that’s the point. All other event’s start at the time and day displayed for local servers, this one however doesn’t. It’s not a NA server, the only time that is generally in PST is when server restarts/updates are on the home page. Calendar events that blizzard has entered have the time and dates local to us. Darkmoon, world events and other 1 day events aren’t always a day later than what the calendar says otherwise it would be normal and those of us here would know to expect that - so either way, a bug of some sort is going on be it an issue with the calendar or the event not spawning.
Here is a comparison of my calendar for my alt on Dreadmaul (Oceanic server) and this character here on Bloodscalp. For me, the calendar shows the exact same information regardless of server or event.
DREADMAUL
BLOODSCALP
By your logic all our events and calenders then shouldn’t be correct. But they are. Dark moon starts on Sundays and ends Saturdays here too at the time displayed. weekly events should be on our Wednesdays etc but again they aren’t. You’re trying to argue that the calendar is completely right and ALL times/dates are PST but they very clearly (if you lived and played in OCE) not otherwise as I said, this would not be a new issue confusing players. Either the calendar is playing up or the event is - but something isn’t correct.
All I can go by is what the calendar shows to ME and also what Kalviery said (quoted & linked below) in regards to event times.
I can understand the need for the calendar to reflect what dates or times it is using to mark an event – in this case, saying that the times are Pacific.
I also think that looking at the calendar as strictly being for the game itself, rather than for me personally, helps me keep track of event times.
Since the old Forums were shut down, I cannot link to the post directly, but here is the Wayback Machine capture of it.
Reply from a player:
double check your time, is it set to server or local?
Kalviery’s response:
This won’t really matter, my realm is 11:28 AM Local and 12:28 Realm. However, events start globally at the same time now and that is Pacific Time. This is done because of the cross-realm capabilities. If you go from a realm where the event is started to a realm where the event has not started then you could lose event related items. So they all start at the same time to avoid that problem

Pirate Day started on EU realms at 10am Paris time, that’s 1am Pacific time.
Did you mean “US region” when you said “globally”?
Actually, “I” didn’t say globally. That was part of the quoted text from a Blizzard employee. It was their terminology, not mine.
Also, globally doesn’t always just mean in reference to the entirety of the world, but rather the whole of something. In this case, it very well could be meant as the whole of a region (such as the NA region). – but that is my own musing of course.
“Join the global launch” of Shadowlands. This time they mean the whole world. At other times, they don’t. Maybe english isn’t the best language for such things. We should switch to Klingon. ¯\(ツ)/¯
