Personally, I think Phase 1-3 should be relatively quick. Once BWL is out, players will have enough content where they can maybe perhaps slow the release of phases 4, 5, and 6. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if BWL lands in late February/early March. In fact, any later would possibly be a negative.
Feels a bit early, but I’m trying my hardest to get to 60 or close to it before then. Unfortunately I’m behind the curve because I rerolled after getting my first character to its 40s and realizing I didnt like it…
6 months per phase is insane. That’s 3 years until naxx, which is a whole year longer than the orginal timeline.
In vanilla they were actually developing this content. Their development cycle determined the timeline, not what the player-base was ready for. With Classic, they’re not developing anything per-se, they’re just arbitrarily staging content. There’s no good reason that they should have precise parity with how content was released in Vanilla, or that they should release it based on what certain segments of the player population are ready for. They should release it based on thier best guess on how to retain the most subscriptions, which is what it seems like they are doing.
I also believe it’s too early and caters to a small % of players. This is history repeating itself (ignoring the 98%). 4 months maybe but not a little over 2. People act like all players are single, driven, in a guild who dreams of raiding and have only 1 toon with maybe even no professions. - and sitting bored at 60 in droves ready to unsub. Yes, there might be some folks like that but seriously… they will just go play retail til phase whatever drops. BUT I am on Westfall and spend time with my 7 toons in major cities. There are 60’s but they are the minority. The vast amount of people you see are 20’s 30’ 40’s. I am in a large guild who is in MC and we only have a few 60’s SO FAR. I am thankful we are a pve server as I will still be able to play when phase 2 drops rather than sit in the gy feeling sorry for myself all evening.
Definitely too early. I wanted more time to level engineering, gather all the trinkets, farm consumables, etc etc
any slower and we’ll loose player to boredom.

That’s because you are a no lifer who has experience in this game from past experiences, so stop sounding like an idiot thinking that it’s “easy” to do. Most casual players who had no idea are in the 11-15 day range to hit 60.
In all honestly phase 2 is kind of pointless. They should just skip over it and go to phase 3.
meanwhile there’s over 12 raid teams killing rag on reset day, + weekly pugs… and that’s just the one on top of my head, since I barely play outside of reset day I’m not up to date with the progress of other guild on earthfury… and I cant imagine what’s its like on herod-stalag-faerlina.

assuming 5k player on each side, that’s 10% of the population.
and since I barely play outside of weekly raid clear I’m not up to date with the progress on earthfury ( a small server… bet the numbers are 5X higher on herod-stalag-faelina) so I wouldn’t be surprised if the actual real number is twice that… + random pugs.

It’s ok, it simply means phase 6 happens that much faster and the calls for TBC and WOTLK progression splits will grow that much more numerous.
On a Warrior even 60 is going to be a rough ride with no gear come Phase 2. Best hope your healer buddies are online!
Hardly. Do the math, its really not difficult to find an hour a day during the week, and on weekends? Prioritize your own time all you want.
