You’re making an awful lot of assumptions about people that are 60. Now don’t get me wrong, Edge is being a total a-hat saying anyone not 60 is bad and should quit, but Ziryus has a point. I play classic super casually now. I have a very busy real life and frankly I’m not always in the mood for WoW. I’m looking forward to being 60 (I’m only like 40) but I can’t say I care about it. There is also nothing wrong with being a bachelor playing wow all day if that’s the life-style they want, you shouldn’t hold the world to your personal expectations.
The fact is a majority of active classic players are 60 by now and they want phase 2. There will be casual players still leveling probably a year+ from now, we can’t expect the game to wait on us because we personally don’t have the time anymore, that’s just silly.
geez phase 2 is only world bosses and honor system wanting it take 6 months is maddening.
Plus pvpers need something, I spent 2 hours a day and leveled a priest to 60 shouldn’t be hard and I counted about 200 60s within the first 2 weeks on my server which isn’t the biggest ones.
50 each class level 60s on my realm right now, gota give people something to do in a 15 year old, otherwise 15 dollars a month isn’t worth it.
2-3 months its been
Idk what level majority of players are but there are far more 60s on every single realm then there was probably in classic or so far I have seen we have like mega servers.
Phase 2 is just World Bosses and the Honor System. I don’t understand why this is “too soon”.
BWL isn’t coming out, and neither are BG’s… so the amount of available content isn’t necessarily increasing, nor does it actually put slow levelers at a disadvantage outside of maybe being ganked while leveling. However, it’s not like that isn’t already happening anyways.
I have been playing since launch and I would say I’m a typical casual player. However, Blizzard shouldn’t cater to people like me.
They should cater to the hardcore player base who log on religiously and play for hours and hours each day. You know, the ones who are already raiding. In all honesty, Phase 2 isn’t meant for casuals tbh. It’s meant for people who spend hours and hours on weekends grinding out honor. Just look at the posts. Some people have insinuated that spending two, three hours a day playing is not a big deal. That is complete insanity for most people, aka, casuals. Aka the ones who keep the game profitable.
I’d say I spend about 30-40 minutes on a play session once every few days. Then again, I have a full time job, friends, wife, and kids, all of which takes time. Time that could be spent leveling.
For people with social anxiety, or NEETs who can afford to play this game for hours and hours every day, this is literally all they have. I say let them have their fun.
There is no incentive to kill something who is vastly lower level than you. If you’re on a PvP server currently, you’re already being ganked while leveling. That doesn’t really change as the incentive to go kill a bunch of level 30’s isn’t there.
Given the nature of players in Classic, there will be very specific zones everyone congregrates in. An example will be Blackrock Mountain.
What is your point? I mentioned that if you are leveling, you are already being camped. You’re already at rock bottom. Populated servers make Blackrock Mountain a death trap, and that won’t change.
I do not understand your point here. You’re just pointing out what I have already stated.
Meh. Just do dungeons or find a quiet place to grind (avoiding quests and obvious hotspots) and you’ll level just fine with the occasional gank.
Also, just because we’re not 60 doesn’t mean us lowbies can’t gank, either. If I see a level 30-something they are kill on sight for me too. Or if I’m bored I can straight up go to Redridge/Darkshore etc.
