Phase 2 is killing Classic

Deja Vu…if you are on Earthfury and complaining, you do realize Alliance slightly outnumbers Horde on this server right?

I see other ally rogues doing just fine.

Aye, zone disruption.
I remember when full guilds were camping the boats portals to get to the Isle of Thunder and were stopped for zone disruption.s

You shouldn’t have rolled on a pvp server it’s as simple as that.

If your faction was dominating the realm, and doing the above listed, I am pretty sure you would be feeling a lot better but also saying you don’t condone the actions.

Pvp realms were and are meant for this. It’s what makes a community on a realm. It is going to weave out the snowflakes who wouldn’t of even stayed for very long anyways.

I highly suggest you roll to a PvE server, or a role playing one

It’s almost like the name CONTESTED zones means something.

every instance was camped. every fp was camped.

lfg was asking for help.

Did Blizzard force anyone to play WoW?

I guess we’re not allowed to point out any problems in the game?

I’m sorry you’re having that experience. Mine’s that the alliance are the ones that were controlling those zones.

Hey go with guild members/party /raid.

Did you forget it’s an mmo?

It’s not problems when it’s on a pvp server lmao. Camping flight paths, entrances to raids is all normal stuff on a pvp server. You are clearly coming from a retail standpoint since this stuff was happening all the time throughout classic, BC some wotlk and mists of pandaria island was even worse at their end game content because u were never allowed a boss on the island lmao

I died 15 times in TM SS as horde yesterday. Some were snipes, most I was steamrolled by the ping pong match.

I loved every minutes of it.

This is world PvP. This is what normal PvP servers were like. The more live-and-let-live pre-Honor was an aberration, not a norm. People just didn’t care as much until it was worth doing more.

Yesterday was the FIRST day in classic that I felt like the server truly resembled what I remember from the early days.

This is all about GROUPING and forming raids to survive. If you are a soloer and refuse or aren’t into socializing even temporarily to join the arms race, then yes it is going to suck.

Also, as to imbalance … yes, the bigger force almost always wins barring great strategy and execution and odd/brave tactics from the smaller force like knowing how to time charges of various classes and abilities to do things like pincer, force push, etc. Use psychology on a bigger force; if you can get an initial retreat from a push coupled with mages horsing in past the first few lines and dismounting/nova/arc expl to create havoc and turning the enemy to run away while the rest of the force continues pushing in past you, it does wonders.

Tactics from a smaller force will beat typical hold-the-line.

Of course, it rinses and repeats in both directions all day. That’s the POINT of it.

The biggest point is: get realm cohesion and support for pvp. Answer the call, get those you play with in guild and in general to join up and form raids. Safety in numbers, even if slightly less numbers sometimes.

There are waaaay more 60s on every single server in both realms, than ever get into a single battle anywhere. So it comes down to rallying your realm to give a damn in a focused way. It isn’t on any one player’s shoulders to get that to happen, but there it is truthfully.

But solo is just asking for it.

It’s a problem when factions are significantly imbalanced on a PvP server.

It’s not fun for either side, but it’s especially not fun for the smaller faction.

Eventually, you end up with a de facto PvE realm.

Probably the most fun I’ve ever had in WoW.

I played vanilla from open beta through to TBC exclusively on pvp servers.
you’re not interpreting the issues correctly.

vanilla players never had this skill. never had this gear. and in vanilla, 90% of the server wasn’t 60 in mc gear when honor was released. never in vanilla, was every single fp camped by 10+ people in MC gear. never in vanilla did it take me 20 corpse runs to get into an instance.

i can’t wait to get to lvl 60 and participate in this. it will be super fun.

not fun right now though; and it’s not even a matter of fun…i can’t play at all.

Then it’s your word against mine because i played last night and there was a large pack of ally holding it.

I’m on Herod’s Alliance (yeah, one of the few crazy enough) and it’s literally unplayable right now because of the 137123162376123761 : 1 faction balance ratio.

Blizzard needs to enable Horde-only faction change here. That’s the only thing that could save this realm (and this game) for me and a lot of people.

It’s basically unplayable as alliance outside of dungeons/major cities. I’m sure it’ll return to normal in a week or so. Roaming endlessly only to find no ally can only be fun for so long.

Or just announce TBC at this point, release next year, same thing happened in 2005,
And you wonder why Blizz destroyed wpvp with Flying…
because it WAS already destroyed, the solution was bgs arenas.

again pvp server your choice to play on.

come to grobbulus the alliance pushed the horde right out of hillsbrad pretty good balance too
