Not when the prior design existed for more played then the pathetic numbers every expansion since Wod has had, it’s time to give up on the pet-A.I. classes entirely if they don’t fix them A.I. itself.

what do you do with the specs played less than SV then? do they need massive, role swapping reworks?

hmmm lets see when SV is played more we can make the excuse of “well its because it’s a broken tier set!” or “it’s overtuned!” but when MM is played more to dark ranger being bugged and double dipping…that’s okay? 
That’s cute, but they don’t need to rework back anything, they can keep the changes and let the pet as an option still

change the name of spotter’s mark to ranger’s mark, bring back lone wolf to work as grimoire of sacrifice and +5% damage, substituting the node cunning/tenacity, make so that isnt necessary to pick true shot

So you dont know how grimoire of sacrifice works?
I do, but it doesn’t give you all of your pets special abilities 
so MM would either still need to use a pet for utility or sacrifice it to be balanced against other specs, leaving us in the same situation and keeping the spec an utter thematic mess. pog!
… Its gives their active abilities, so with lone wolf you would dismiss a ferocity pet and gain the ability to cast bloodlust
There would be no need for people who don’t want the pet to use it.
