How about a petless hunter? I like hunter but pets always get in the way, or they get stuck some where and it becomes a hassle. Also it plays out for my fantasy character We could something like grimoire of sacrifice that warlocks have and obviously it would be SV spec.
PS: I know MM is petless but i meant for melee

I dunno. I love melee hunter but part of the reason is because they are a melee class who fights with a pet. Otherwise, might as well be a warrior or rogue or something.
I will agree with you about focusing more on melee. Feels like actual melee attacks take lower priority to Kill Command, Bombs, Exploding Shot, etc.
My ideal melee hunter would still have a pet but be more melee focused while still having some ranged via throwing spears/axes instead of Bombs and Shots.
No, there does not need to be a petless hunter spec. Hunters have always been a pet class. If you want petless ranged dps, then either play a mage or blizzard should make a seperate Ranger class that is not hunter based.
How about you not be a condescending, thick headed twit? If I wanted to play BM, I would already be playing it. I donāt know why you people who say āGo PlAy a bM HuNtErā even bother to respond to a post, if that is all you have.
I played MM for 20 years and donāt want to change just because a few people canāt ignore the summon pet button and just have lone wolf as an option, while the rest of us get the OPTION of keeping pets we have had for longer than some players have been alive.
Letās be clear, no person on this forum is making that decision. I advocate for the ability to play archer, without a pet and without losing the things pets bring. We donāt have that today.
Itās Blizzard that is making the decision to make those two styles mutually exclusive. Thereās no reason for name calling and directing your anger to other paying customers on the forums, it makes your argument look weaker.
Then just donāt summon one, but let the rest of us keep the OPTION to summon ours. Stop being selfish and trying to take peoples pets away just because you canāt ignore a button.
They are asking for feedback in the PTR forum though, which means if enough people ask them to not rip their pets away from a 20 year old spec that has pets, then maybe they will let us keep the option to still summon them. I am a paying customer too and feel free to call out the foolishness of others demanding someone change their 20 year old character because someone canāt cope with the summon pet button.
