Yes it is lol
It’s incredibly easy to stop a 4 second rez. It is also incredibly easy to just kill the pets again. You can take away all of a hunters momentum by doing this. Even last season, if I actually fought teams that knew how important it was, they could actually keep me out of the game for a ridiculously long time, with just 2 second rez.
For example, RPS or RMX, the rogue can acually just tab and kill the pet through most healing in BfA season 4, he needs only minimal damage from his dps to kill a pet, it could get 100-0d in 3-4 seconds. We’d pain sup pets, use mending bandages on gushings, have my feral spam heal the pet, try and keep them away as much as possible, use vitality conduit, voodoo totems, exhilirations, aspect of the turtle etc. to help keep the pet alive and the teams we practiced against either could constantly stop the rez, or just easily 100-0 it again when it got rezzed. All momentum is gone by trying to keep it alive. Gl trying to rez it when dealing with multiple kicks and spammable CC.
Pets also could randomly die vs a frost DK cleave, if that happened you actually could be severely behind and lose a game off that because of how much pressure you’re losing. Even worse if you’re fighting monks because ring of peace can knock you during aspect of the turtle, preventing you from rezzing your pet.
These were things with a 2 second rez. It is now 4. We have none of the pet defensive abilities from the past xpacs. They are all pruned on top of our pets NEEDING to be attacking a kill target at all times to be useful (mortal wounds effect bare minimum). If we’re Survival even revenerating our focus requires us to kill command and set our pets back in the open. We need sustained pressure, momentum, and mortal wounds to win games as SV. Let alone the utility from our pet.
4 second rez is incredibly easy to shut down man, and it being a massive punishment wouldn’t even be that awful if pets didn’t just die to nothing. They have 70% of out hp, no benefit from out versatility, no more active damage mitigation or increased healing received, no CD to keep them alive or resummon them besides our own defensives, they simply have mend pet. A 10 second CD heal over time effect that is purgeable. Mage, Priest, Hunter, Shaman, Demon Hunters can all just purge out mediocre heal over time effect, healing 50% over 10 seconds at best (once we’re playing 60) that is impacted by mortal wounds.
You’re spreading misinformation too, you said my video was for 6 second rez. It was not.
You claimed there are still plenty of hunters you’re looking at for rep, the ladders are frozen to show you the end of last season. You cannot see rankings from pre patch.
Here’s a clip of me playing my mage, solo stopping a hunter from gettin off a 4 second revive pet for a minute straight. By the time he gets the rez off, he immediately dies. He had already used all his defensive CDs to keep his pet alive. I immediately and easily killed the pet right after as soon as he turtle rezzed or used exhil, by just having a few procs and getting a polymorph on his healer.
My healer doesn’t even judge the pets, I solod them. I could do this even easier in 3s with someone else there to work with me. The entire time his pet is gone, all momentum is lost, and even when brought back, it can very rapidly die again. If the rez stays they need to be actually difficult to kill.
