You already have that choice. If no other loot rules are established and it’s FFA, roll on whatever, it’s functionally PL.
You have a loot spec button too, you just chose a class that only gets to pick tank or dps. Most hybrid players roll for offspec stuff because we use it. Get yourself a nice shield!
I might do this at some point as some raid dps trinkets are great for healers in mythic+. I don’t roll against guildies as a healer for dps trinkets but I would against pugs. However, I would never go into a raid and roll on something with the intent to sell it to someone.
That won’t happen. PL was used to cheese the system on every difficulty and that’s why Blizzard removed it.
No. It isn’t. Because you have no idea what their main spec actually is. And if that trinket is usable for both healing and dps, then they absolutely are allowed by game rules to roll on it.
If he had rolled on it, won and said nothing, I wouldn’t of made a post or anything.
It’s the simple fact that he instantly messaged me and asked for 2mil gold in trade for the trinket that set me off.
People were doing this with personal loot too.
Yeah I get that.
That is a work around, not a set choice like have the option for personal loot. So no I don’t already have that choice.
Once he won the roll, it was his item to do with as he pleases. He does not need your approval do decide on what he wants to do with that item.
Can you go troll elsewhere?
You are legit just a forum troll.
based upon all your posts on the forums, all you do is troll.
Do you have a life outside of here? Holy.
All I’m hearing from you is, “Someone gave me factual information that I don’t like, so they must be trolling!!!”
You seem to have a problem with definitions of your favorite buzz words.
Don’t get me wrong, choice is great.
I’m strongly against PL tho due to class stacking.
Stacking 10 druids to force a boss to only drop Druid loot seems really bad for the game.
Maybe I’m old school, but I think bosses should drop random loot. I don’t think you should be able to manipulate the system into only dropping a specific thing.
Some potential “fixes” to GL though could be…
- Disable gold trading within an instance.
- Soulbind the item after leaving an instance.
We can all see how that’d be annoying, but since bringing back PL wouldn’t actually address the issue, it’s also understandable why you’re getting responses you don’t like. Maybe update the title and op to “venting about people selling loot” or something.
I can do this with personal loot too. Just an FYI
You are able to “cheese” the system the same way on group and that is not Blizzard removed it.
Except you aren’t. GL drops are random. PL drops are based on group make up.
PL drops are based on your personal drops, not the groups makeup.
I’m not trolling.
I’m not the one trying to be a loot tyrant who wants to have approval over the rolls and actions of everyone else in the raid.
People did this with Personal Loot as well :<
Stack the group with 10 druids, you’re getting druid loot in PL.
Stack the group with 10 druids, you’re getting plate, mail, etc drops in GL.
