That sounds a lot like projection.
Youâre right, it is better than it was in the past.
That doesnât mean a new system canât be better than this in the future.
They canât force you though? They won so if they want to give it away, use it, de/vendor it, or offer it for sale is within their rights and not griefing.
Sorry this happened to you OP. I thought of a scenario where I would be sad-facing if this happened to me and it would be if someone somehow did this with Rashoks or Broodkeepers. Just bad form imo and shows a character flaw that is bigger than you to fix. Shake it off, and know that you still came out the winner in this scenario. (Assuming you didnât rage and tantrum all over the place when it happened. )
Yeah, sounds like OP just wants to be able to tell other people what to do with their loot.
LOL⊠how childish are you going to act here?
Blizzard has explicit rules on what is considered griefing. Maybe try reading:
And here is one of many explanations that your drama filled definition isnât what actual griefing is:
Someone trying to sell something isnât griefing. Take a step back, kiddo.
It does though. It really does. They participated in the same content and are just as entitled to roll as you are. Try getting over yourself and you might see this simple truism. Greed and envy is clouding your judgement. This is why we used to teach our children about these deadly sins and how to avoid them, look what it has done to your attitude.
I cannot roll my eyes hard enough.
Unfortunately, by the way theyâre acting in here⊠I have little faith that they just quietly accepted it.
They have the right to roll on any gear they want. Itâs not up to you whether they need it or not.
Iâd still rather have the choice.
Even if it allows people to make bad choices.
Speaking from experience, when you win the same item 3-5 weeks in a row and donât have any choice. It sucks big time.
With my rolls on trinkets, I might consider buying one off someone, but Iâm broke, so Iâd have to trade hoof pics or something.
Honestly, nothing I can say or do would change the outcome, the minute he messaged me (almost instantly), read what he wrote, I chuckled and put him on ignore.
Honestly, his intentions were to win it and sell it, period.
He hit need in bad faith, and everybody here defending him, is the reason why there is so much toxic behavior in the game.
You havenât given a solution though.
PL is not the solution.
It would still happen exactly the way you described.
A solution would be something like not letting people trade gold cross server.
Now of course, that wouldnât actually stop anything. People managed to sell carries before you could trade cross realm. It could be enough hinderance to stop it from happening as commonly⊠maybe.
Weâre not defending them, weâre just pointing out that finding a solution isnât that easy and PL definitely wouldnât solve the issue, could even make it worse.
I donât see anyone defending him. As a matter of fact, I specifically said it was stupid behavior.
But the facts still stand:
- Coded in game rules allowed him to roll
- It isnât griefing
He participated, was eligible and won. Anything he does after that is up to him. Thatâs not bad faith. You certainly wouldnât be complaining if he just decided to give it to you after he won.
If I can roll need Iâm rolling need.
Personal loot people just canât stand seeing themselves lose the loot roll. Thatâs all it is. They hit need, roll a 6 and then get sad.
I am not saying remove group loot from the game but give groups the choice of if they use group loot or personal loot. If you donât like personal loot donât play with groups that use that choice. I am a fan of choice.
We kicked a tank last night because he didnât need any of the drops, but he need rolled on and won all the plate items. We finally had enough and booted him.
While I would agree with you, If he wasnât a healer and wasnât rolling on a DPS item.
A healer rolling on a DPS item is indeed bad faith.
As a DPS am i allowed to roll on healing items? No.
So yes, it is the definition of bad faith.
