This just goes to prove my point. Your problem is that you went pugging. I’m arguing in the defense of organized raiding guilds who do not invite pugs into their regular raiding schedules.
Congratulations on finally calling out your illusion.
so OP wants to get gear for his inner circle but not as a team.
you might want to ask yourself why are you raiding in first place, for the team, gear or to get gear for you and your buddies?
Pugs using master loot was a red flag in my book because I don’t trust random people. So I avoided pugs that used it. I’d leave as soon as I saw that loot system change notification.
What I want to know is:
Why do people stay in guilds and groups that use a loot system they don’t approve of?
With all the guilds and all the communities in game, and all the different groups you can join, why in the world would you stay in the particular one that does things a way you don’t approve of?
It’s Stockholm syndrome.
Bruh did you not read my posts. I’m pro-Guild-Only master loot. The rest of this argument was your feels after i told you Master Loot was removed for a viable reason with data you personally don’t have access to.
I love zoomers don’t be the exception.
See, I personally don’t care if they add master loot back, I just think these people have stockholm syndrome.
LMAO MAYBE
This is at least a better argument.
However, in return I’d like to let you know why i think it was removed. I think it was abused but Blizzard didn’t care until they started downsizing to maximize profits. Now they just don’t want the flood of reports about abuse that they used to take all the time.
I know they used to take them because i existed under the system.
This is really the best summary of why I made this post. It’s almost less about the problem and more about the nature of how people act in dismissing people’s legitimate gripes. So many that you described are completely oblivious, disrespectful, lacking empathy or anything of the sorts simply because they themselves are satisfied. As far as they’re concerned, everyone else can have problems but it’s okay because they’re taken care of.
Some people can’t accept there are flaws with their beloved forced personal loot setting, and will do everything they can to shift blame and ostracize people that bring up the setting’s legitimate flaws, so that they don’t have to stand accountable for the actions of those that abuse the setting… just like how they’ve tried to force everyone that used master looter to do so. They don’t want to be held accountable, but they want to hold everyone else accountable. It’s hypocrisy.
Why do people stay in guilds and groups that use a loot system they don’t approve of?
They don’t.
But “I did what was best for me and left on my own terms” doesn’t make nearly as dramatic a story to spin on the forums.
“nope”
We are a little desperate
these new recruits are playing poorly and dying half way or intentionally doing it.
recruits have left the moment they got what they wanted.
come again?
you want serious people? but you “complain” because you invite the wrong players, this isnt something regarding pl or ml…
sure if ml was still a thing you would reward stuff to your “non” recruits.
“trolling” btw
Obviously these people do or they wouldn’t have something to complain about.
They’re lying.
Imagine trying to take things out of context lmaooo.
Also a possibility.
Ah so I see…
it’s your thread but you want to twist things for your own truth.
gotcha.
nice echo chamber.
yes it’s all pl fault that OP can’t give non recruits gear through ml. /s
Also a possibility.
We saw a bunch of “I was abused by a pug with master loot” DURING LEGION when that was impossible.
They’re just lying.
I did read that you were pro guild-only ML. Yet somehow, despite being “primarily a pugger” when the ML system was active, you chose to talk about how Blizzard acted on “data” and “viable reasons” in removing the system. Do you read what you write or does it just come to you haphazardly?
Ah so I see…
it’s your thread but you want to twist things for your own truth.
gotcha.
I drop this echo chamber.
Even though anti-master loot people try and turn every loot-related thread into an anti-master loot hate echo chamber… it’s unreasonable that someone who has frustrations with personal loot is looking for others that feel the same. Right. Definitely makes sense, totally fair.
It’s too bad they removed the old “Guild Leadership Discussion” forum, that would have been the best place for this thread.
General Discussion is just a bunch of rabid raider-hater trolls.
Because Blizzard did act on data? It was removed for a viable reason? I never said it was a reason you would personally find viable. You’re talking like there’s an “Ah hah!” but you’re not providing one. This is worse than a television cliffhanger.
Just like flying, right?
I never said it was a reason you would personally find viable.
^
Is loot control just this super emotional thing y’all can’t discuss reasonably?
It was removed for a viable reason?
Just like flying, right?
so OP wants to get gear for his inner circle but not as a team.
PL promotes personal progression over team progression. Every Mythic guild runs RC Loot Council, which is basically the way to make it ML without having ML - just with some wasted loot. Asking for ML back makes it more easy logistically and results in less wasted loot.
For some reason, the same people against ML are the ones that don’t ever want to trade their PL, and yet they claim those in favour of ML are the greedy ones.
I like how there’s apparently a viable reason for this but Blizzard has repeatedly, constantly over the last few years made changes without a viable reason.
It’s not exactly the holy grail of reasons.
