“Your loot” belongs to the guild. The second you stop thinking you solo’d the boss the better.
I’m sure all the people that happily allow their loot to go to the person who needs it most in your guild would be just thrilled to find out you’re hoarding it all to yourself.
Even when you don’t need it. But hey, you showed up and bleseed them with your presence right.
I can’t help that the OP has malicious intent and doesn’t actually experience this stuff, the thing is no new guild mate is gonna leave after getting what they want if they have more of a chance at getting gear. Either the guild itself has issues and that’s why people are leaving or this situation is fake most likely.
There’s always loot-and-scoot people. My guild looks into each person we have apply and we check their prog, seeing if they’ve only done the first few bosses and are likely to leave once they get their loot. Little tricky to tell but just something you have to go with.
I’m not sure if I read your post correctly or not, maybe I missed it. So did the people you brought in as Recruits get the loot in their personal loot or was it traded to them from the more established guild members?
Sure, that what I said, build on it. Make it 100% or give the pugs an option to personal loot. It wouldn’t be hard to make it so if you have 19 guild members and 1 pug, the loot drops, if it drops for guild members, it’s master loot, if a piece drops for the pug, he/she personal loots it. There was 0 reason to take all loot distribution away from guilds.
They do not deserve anything over the other 19 people in the raid, certainly not so just because their dice roll was a little higher.
The mangement that does all the work organizing the guild, recruiting, managing the players, leading the raid, researching the strategy, and forming the groups every week deserves to decide where that loot goes.
honestly the simplest solution would be a toggle to either use ML or not, let the people going on the runs decide if they want to go with those rules or not.
personally i dont like it, so having the choice is fine.
LFR would be PL only just because of how its designed. buncha random pugs anyway
So, basicaly, you want people to work for free, while you and you guild mates stay with everything…
The reason someone join a raid group is to improve their character too. If there no chance to they get something, theres no reason to join.
No one wants work for free, spending hour of raiding to get nothing. Everyone of the group has right to have a chance to drop something.
Also, master loot was used by raid leaders to stole itens and mounts, kicking people after boss kill, to pick everything for themself.
This isn’t entirely true. When the guild group posted the run as highest need roll in group finder. Thus you get the support tickets. Also, part of the reason ML is gone.
You’re effectively stealing loot by letting it go to your mailbox which is especially toxic because items you don’t even need are being taken away from the people you play with just because of your greed.
I’m sure they’d love to know how little you think of them
