An item going to someone else doesn’t require people to be shamed, manipulated, or fearmongered for them to go along with it - we all just see the loot as going to the team, which is as good as it going to any one individual.
You guys put loot up on a pedestal as if it’s the most important thing to a raiding guild.
When we want ML back, we just want a more convenient way of distributing it. Personal Loot still gets distributed by loot council, it’s just a far more convoluted method.
“skimming off the top” is not something that is possible. That’s something that is entirely made up in your own head.
My entire guild transferred in Uldir because there weren’t enough good players on our alliance server. You can do it.
Anyways, just give mythic guilds control over loot. Fully tradable personal loot or master loot, I don’t really care. Just tired of wasting loot at the beginning of a tier.
They have said that loot drops are being cut back by 50%ish in SL. M+ will drop 1 piece of loot, and we are assuming 2-3 pieces will drop for a 20 man instead of 4-5.
Also nobody wants to gear up tanks. If I could I would pass on all loot for the first few weeks of a tier. DPS benefits more from the loot.

losing a couple drops to figure out if someone is worthy of sticking in your guild… low price to pay imo ; especially in your situation where you are “desperate” for new members. it’s a blessing to have the bad apples exposed quickly.
TBH, I have never had a bad experience with master loot when I raided in a guild, all my horror stories from master loot came from pugging.
I feel master loot could be reimplemented as a “only in guild” feature. For example: if the raid is composed of 95% guild members and the lead is a guild member, then they can opt into using loot master instead of personal loot.
But if a raid is made up of half guild members(or less) and half pugs, then the option is locked.
its as if there is a constant influx of these parasites coming into the guild getting a drop then leaving. it could be that they legit dont think the guild is a good fit for whatever reason, sure, some of them could be parasites, but I dont think all of them are.
they may not like the way things are organized, how they interact with other people, heck, it could be that you are either too hardcore or not hardcore enough for them.
i am just not sure that painting all of these people as having the same motivation is necessarily correct.
being a trial member goes both ways, its to judge whether you like the guild as well as if the guild likes you and if you are compatible with each other.

Every time you call someone greedy and selfish for just wanting to gear and play the game. Every time you assume they are horrible people because they don’t agree with you. Every time you accuse them of NOT caring when they clearly DO, YOUR the one who is the being the jerk, NOT THEM!
The fact that I have to basically keep my bags filled to the brim so I don’t loot what I get in raids and it goes to mailbox tells you how far some of these ML people will go. The minute people actually loot and get their share of the work of the raid. You get about five people in the guild trying to justify why they deserve it more and why you don’t deserve your loot. Get outta here, thank god ML is gone.
I’d love to know how many tickets were put in over loot in Legion. What would you even make a ticket about?
“Hi Blizz I joined a bad guild and they took a piece of loot I wanted and gave it to someone else.” Did they get thousands of these?? Actually don’t understand what the tickets could have been in Legion.
You couldn’t have master loot in pugs in Legion. That’s what I’m asking. I feel like the Legion loot system was fine, they could have built on it, instead of forcing everyone in to trade restricted personal loot.
