If only SWP gear wasn’t ugly as sin with boring itemization then I’d love to be in a TBC era server.
warglaives and legendary bow are only reasons i need for tbc era
I’m not saying these things are bad at all , they’re what makes the games great and why I miss TBC too , but I am saying that it feels really bad to do all this again on the same exact character that I also won’t be able to keep playing in TBC a second time , also if you like doing things again you and I everyone else can make alts , that’s the great thing about this game , make an alt and try new things and experience the same ones you like again too , but we should be able to keep these characters we spend SO MUCH TIME ON in TBC if we want , how many times will I have to level up my blood elf paladin again and do all this over again without being able to just keep my progress ?
I hear ya. I was more voicing my personal outlook on my characters, less arguing against era. It may not have come across that way. I think a permanent “trophy” era realm for tbc as we continue to get fresh progressions of them after x years is the way to go- offload em every time a set of servers progresses into wrath. And same thing at the end of vanilla and wrath for that matter. I personally would pay little mind to the graveyard of characters there but I get that some would.
Yes I would love TBC era with the option of cloning your character to a WOTLK era server after that and just have all 3 era servers so people can play what ever they like and enjoy the most out of classic, tbc, and wrath.
I mean to me it’s just kind of weird to look at it as a graveyard , I only play classic era at this point and I love that I can keep leveling and hearing different alts on either faction and collection tier sets and weapons I want and don’t have to worry about phases and fomo and feeling forced to play or like my progress will just be reset , that all sucks to me , I like to earn thing in video game and keep what I earned period . It’s like if you spent a whole year building a house that you only get to live in for one month and then you have to move and build another house in a different state or country and then keep going , just let us keep our progress and respect the time that we invest into the game please
I expect a permanent TBC server. I agree with you that playing on a rotating cycle server wouldn’t make sense to me either.
Exactly!
The best scenario I see is having the first three versions of the game (Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK) having permanent servers and allow for players to transfer between them to progress if they want.
tbc era will be the best game of all time i cannot wait
Wrathera will also be pretty amazing.
I’m not sure if TBC/WOTLK perma stuck on the last phase works. It’s not like vanilla where the old raids are still relevant. Great if it does but i have my doubts unfortunately.
I want this.
I really REALLY wish that Blizzard didn’t make us wait an entire YEAR before we got to step foot in Outland again.
Really messed up hard there Blizzard.
WTB PERMANENT TBC/WOTLK Era servers.
Blizzard will always make the worst possible decision in any scenario. So expect no new permanent servers (TBC / wrath) and probably a bunch of retail-esque changes to whatever does exist.
Let me ask you this…how do these servers not end up in some Era?
Are they going to run alongside the other progression servers? Their phases are being sped up, so eventually they’ll catch those servers. So…merge with them?
And once they progress past Vanilla they can’t send these characters back to Classic Era. So the question is simply when these servers stop and that’ll probably be a new Era server. My guess would be Wrath. Most agree after that the game fundamentally changed.
I agree with this completely, although considering the track-record thus far, I have zero confidence in Blizzard to deliver this, or even attempt to.
I dearly hope you’re right. But I do not share your optimism. Not after they rolled to cata
i think a 1 year cadence with era servers we could transfer to would be good that way it generates hype for the people that wanna speed run content and the era servers are for more casual players that wanna take their time. i personally think 1 year 2 months would be perfect though. i think blizzard could play around with the timing of things every new fresh
i am right no need to worry brother we will get tbc era we just must keep asking every day
… and for the casuals wanting to re-live the phased content? I think it’s not smart always catering to the speedrunners.
i need tbc era and wrath era
