if classic+ is done right it will incorporate some tbc and wrath content.it would be very lame to not beable to play tbc wrath as they were meant to be played

LOL the idea of a rolling cycle without era homes is so insane … just imagine trying to convince someone to level up through TBC and get rep up for heroics , get pre bis for raids , get attunements for everything , get pvp gear all over again for like the 3rd , 4th , 5th time when they know they won’t be able to play this character ever again in TBC and will just have to do it all over again … like seriously just THINK about it , just try to think ahead even a little bit , it’s like people thinking classic era was a mistake when the reality was it just took a little bit of time for lots of people start coming back and playing it right where they left off

Era is forever. It’s currently the only non-temporary version of the game and so accordingly, the only version where the playtime you put in actually accumulates long-term.
I don’t know what anyone is doing playing non-Era versions on purpose. I guess they’re gluttons for wasting their own time in places where any progress gets continually washed away.

All true , I only play classic era now after what happened with the first run through of TBC and Wotlk Classic … wasted so much time to end up in cata and never play again , also totally insane how they still won’t tell us what will eventually happen to these fresh realms and characters … era is forever , my very long term goal is every class at 60 on both factions to every option lol (and as you could tell by my portrait I checked out retail for the first time in years just to get the anniversary T2 then back to classic)

Agreed, it is completely psychotic that they expect everyone to just jump down their pipeline for the third time, without explaining where it leads, or IF it leads anywhere at all.

Theyre actually going to make a feature that puts all your TBC characters right into battle for Azeroth remix after sunwell which will progress to shadowlands classic and from there you can play in the upcoming dragonflight mobile game because TBC era wouldn’t be getting any new content and we know that no one wants to play a game that won’t get new amazing beautiful well designed content

I’d love a character per classic but if the population is sparse, id be on or the another I guess. I have sod characters and having fun but Id forgot about the reputation hand ins, so the can sit there doing nothing for another 6 months.
By classic I mean the first three.

I will definitely be playing on a permanent wrath classic server as soon as they are announced. As well as the currently available vanilla classic servers. I dunno. Those were the best times for playing the game and raiding.

Same, I have to remind myself I was little more raid driven back then.
Still might be nice to go further than 4/7 in ICC like we did back then.
Most of us WoTLK was our first time playing.
Not that the ‘we’ exists anymore in the Classic scene.
I enjoyed all the zones in TBC, never raided there as the population had moved on.
I enjoyed cata classic briefly this time around, less than the first time.
But the vibes not the same …and I hated Mop.

If you mean that each of the three expansions should last only 1 year each that’s too fast. 1½ years for each would be more like it, I don’t see why we should repeat the hurrying of the contents - even with Era servers which I agree are necessary!
I am not saying I am the majority here, but the truth is, this is exactly what I want. I MISS the attunements, I miss the gearing progression of TBC and Wrath. I want to be on the Original Trilogy hamster wheel that repeats every 3 or so years. I am looking forward to all of the things you mentioned above. And once they come out next year, I will do them, and when they are done and, in all likelihood, we move into wrath, I will play wrath. And at the end of wrath I will miss TBC and miss the progression of that expansion. For me, era represents the notion of “oh, well, I have a fully geared character over there, guess I’ll see if anyone is running Kara in all of their sunwell gear.” Kara isn’t Kara at that point, it’s kind of a stroll down memory lane but it’s not challenging unless it’s a rolling progression server running Kara during Kara’s content phase.
