Permaban due to abusive language - account lost forever?

ty for the answer (all of the answers). Do banned accounts get deleted at some point btw ? meaning, all my charaters, gold, etc lost forever ? or do they just stay in limbo ?

You can continue to appeal until they tell you to stop.

It seems like they gave you a ton of chances, I have never heard of someone getting a suspension for over a year due to chat, so it really seems like you were on your last straw with them. That is to say I think it’s unlikely, but you never know.

legit 80% of this thread wasnt about helping but people bashing OP.

This is not something I can answer because this is not something that I would actually know. I think the game license will stay closed until you chose to delete your BNet account.

I try very hard to avoid this. The Battlenet level is the ‘account’ - designated by an email.

All games within are licenses, a single Battlenet can hold up to eight WoW licenses.

Now, that aside. USUALLY actions are on the license level. Battlenet accounts certainly CAN be banned - and for offenses egregious enough, they are. But that isn’t common.

I’m looking through this last set of reports. I’m afraid there are reports here that we just aren’t going to give a pass on. Profanity is prohibited - and when it’s repeatedly yelled…yeah, that’s even worse.

The very last thing we ever want to do is action a player. It is our hope that by increasing sanctions players will learn not to repeat that behavior.

Since 2018 you’ve had 6 silences and 3 suspensions on this license. Penalties do escalate until - unfortunately - they can end in a ban if behavior is repeated. Those were you chances and grace to bring your behavior into line with our code of conduct.

Banned accounts are not deleted, but they are utterly inaccessible. Everything on them, characters (and names), items, gold, is all locked away forever.

OP, you should have learned from your past decisions & punishments that came from them.

A yearlong ban should have been enough to say, yeah I’m not going to keep acting this way!

I am very angry at myself that it took a permaban for me to realize that I do need to change the way i conduct myself…and I know saying “i am sorry” probably does not mean anything… but I am sorry.

I don’t know if you can answer this for me, but do you think there is any chance to recover this account in the future ? I said this already, but I would rather wait years if I have to, instead of having a permaban and lose everything…

That license and those chars will just stay in limbo. You will not be able to transfer them to another license on the same Bnet account (or anywhere else). Gold and items on those characters or guild banks are also lost to you. Things in your Warband bank may be available though. MOST of your Collection things are battlenet Account bound though so are available to any of the 8 possible licenses on your Battlenet Account. Assuming it is in the same Region. You will keep your mounts, pets, transmogs, achievements, most title, toys, etc.

I obviously don’t work for Blizzard, but I can say that they have a policy of not overturning bans, even years later. If the closure was justified then it was justified and is forever upheld.

The vast majority of the time, people are only asking about an actioned account because they are unfamiliar with the process. In those cases, the only assistance is directing to the appeals process.

And although buying a new account can mitigate the impact, it is not a “solution” to these types of problems. Most often, there is no solution, at least in terms of how the player wants it.

It pains me to say this but… if there is absolutly no chance to recover this account, I might be done with world of warcraft. And I know i won’t be missed. Cheers to every1 that replied here with the genuine intent to be constructive/help, I just don’t know if i’ll ever play again… i do not mind grinding the game, but considering solo players like myself just can’t have fun anymore…I started playing this game seriously back in legion, and pugs were actualy very different than they are now… even the “worse” players had some knowledge about their class, or basic concepts such as aggro… and I see no efford from blizzard to educate new players how to play the game… and most ppl nowadays play it as a single player game, while doing group/end-game content.

Anyways, if there is one thing I learned is that ranting/speaking to the void gets you nowhere. Maybe one day i’ll miss it enough to come back. GL HF every1

edit: if this is a suitable place to leave feedback, I would very much like to have a notification sent to me, if / when it would be possible to recover this account/licence/whatever is the right term.

This is the thing though. You know that your own behaviour lead to this action. You had multiple warnings in forms of silences and suspensions to prewarn that this sort of behaviour is not on and not acceptable within the game. But you still continued on, and it lead to this action of having your game license closed. This isn’t the fault of Blizzard, or anyone else. This is you chosing to ignore those warnings and continue with the same behaviour.

You should’ve taken in the warning at first with the first silence. Then that way, you would’ve still be continued playing today, and not sitting here on the forums saying you won’t play WoW because you failed to follow Blizzard’s policies.

Having fun within the game doesn’t mean breaching any of the policies set in place to help keep the game fun and the community safe.

I am a solo player. Pretty much exclusively. I don’t play with other people. Love seeing them go by out in the world, but I don’t do organized group content with people. Blizzard has made the game MUCH more solo friendly so that you don’t need others getting in your way to do content. Even challenging content. Follower Dungeons and story mode raids let you see content and do quests. Delves and the Vault let you really push your char using your OWN skills and abilities. You can get very very good gear that way between the Vault, Delves, and the Catalyst.

To be fair, Blizzard never really has. It has always been a mostly personal journey of discovery, supplemented by fan sites for strats, videos, etc.

Orlyia has already told you as much as is going to be shared with you about your account.

Your only way to get any communications on this is via an appeals ticket until they tell you to stop. That is the only answer you will get. They won’t contact you beyond that ticket.

my opening post was just flagged/hidden ? really ?

Technically the discussing Account actions is not allowed on the forums. However here on the CS forum they allow some leeway so folk can get clarification on how to use the Support system, what steps can be taken, explanations of policies, etc.

I don’t know why anyone would flag it if it does not contain the profanity or insults. It is ok to ask about policy. It only takes between 3-5 flags to hide a post. It won’t be penalized or anything unless Orlyia feels it actually needs to be removed - and I don’t think she will. She would have already done that if it was an issue.

yep… i guess it is what it is.

I would love to be like you in that sense mate, but i just can’t enjoy delves. I am a mythic plus addict, and same thing goes for raiding. I tried follower dungeons but even those do not allow for big pulls (which is what i enjoy the most…)

No one here can give a definitive “no”, but given Orlyia’s response, it’s as close as we can get to a definitive “no”.

Your chance is to create a new license and show that you can follow the rules. You’ll have to put game time on it and upgrade to the new expansion when you’re ready to go from 70-80. But Blizzard doesn’t ban a person or a location; it’s just the license.

As stated above, a new license on the same Battlenet will allow access to all account bound/warbound items. So if it helps, you should still have access to your Warband Bank, and pet/mount/toy collections, not to mention future reputation updates (prior expansions being added to the Warband).

However, I will warn you that a new license on the same Battlenet might be judged harsher and quicker if you don’t change the behavior. If you change the behavior, it will not matter at all, but continued behavior issues may have less leeway.

I am genuinely hoping to help you here, but everything after this shows that stepping away may be the best decision. It seems there are systemic issues that you are frustrated by, and that’s not going to bode well for trying to behave better.

That’s not meant to be a knock on you, but it’s simply the reality. Those frustrations you listed are not really going to go away by starting a new license. But if you think you can control the ranting in the face of these frustrations, then Blizzard is more than willing to give additional chances. It will just have be on a new license now.

I am not trying to read between the lines, so i’ll just ask you this very directly:

if i do exactly what you said, buy a new licence on EU region (so i can have access to everything i collected thus far), play on it for a very long time, when it comes to a point that I can show that i rectified my behaviour… does this mean it is possible to recover my main account ? or is this wishful thinking / a very big if/maybe ?

edit: opening post was flagged/hidden again >.<

Your current EU WoW 4 already has access to many things, Batchest.

If you upgrade and fund that license, you should have access to all shared things already.

Whether they’d ever reconsider this original license - very big if. I’ve learned to never say never here, the hard way - but I wouldn’t count on it.

Thank you for confirming Orlyia <3

I honestly don’t know what to do…my main account had all classes at max lvl (which is something I have been doing since I became somewhat serious about this game). Believe it or not, i went down the road of multiclassing as a way to also try and change my behavior/toxic demeanor… to step away from the high key pushing world, and to learn even more about this game, from other POV’s (classes). This past week I actualy did the emissary quest on all of those classes, and grinded all of them to around ilvl 600… and now this happens. What you just replied to me does give me a shred of hope (even if I don’t deserve it…) and I do in fact… hope, i can get it back someday. Cheers
