Like every single spec has been to title range even.
“We choose not to play with this spec” doesn’t mean lack of capability.
(Might be 1-2 exceptions.)
But really, usually the question is: “Why take such a needless disadvantage?”
If you like a challenge then take the challenge route. I want to see more off meta pushes to believe that people really like that challenge.

This. Like if people really cared about the challenge why would they care about a disadvantage? Wouldn’t that add to the thrill?
There’s no rewards for doing so, and if they make it spec-based rewards, it’ll resort in degenerate gameplay of people finding places to park alts. But on the plus side, spec viability might be seen as far more equal? Like every spec will be max key -1 probably, maybe -2.
Just like there’s no reward for RWF for doing mythic with as low ILVL as possible, so people don’t.
There is no reward for doing any of it after 10s other than bragging rights. Getting as high as you can as an off meta comp is the ultimate in bragging rights.

It’s really no different than people that want specific raid difficulties removed. They don’t do it, so the game doesn’t need it.
I think its more about the fact no one really cares.

Everyone that mentions rating, says you haven’t been there, or otherwise elevates their achievements as a reason to be able to speak with authority.
You may not see it that way from a first person perspective but everyone else does.

Also, you vastly overestimate the amount of people on the forums that are pushing 15s.
I participate in M+ and I’m never blanket insulted by delvers and soloers because of it. There may be something else causing this.
I don’t see “M+ers do X” as a personal attack because I participate in all of the PvE content.

Rating is only used to point something out when people are out of their depth, and can’t demonstrate they’ve actually been there. Acting, as if they’ve had experience all along.

If you start hearing me giving in depth analysis of PVP balance, call me out too.
It’s easy enough for me to ignore this because for one I partially agree as a participant in this content and for another I specifically avoid being what they are calling out.
I also pug heroic raids but “raiders do X” still doesn’t make me feel like I’m being stuffed in a box.
As a floater you get to look at all content objectively. It’s a benefit imo.
Its not about stuffing you in a box. Its about you being a part of the group they are insulting.
You can ignore it, thats great. I typically do as well. But that does not change the statement they are making. They are not saying “some people in m+ are bad”. They are saying all.

I agree but the “eye for an eye” response doesn’t really contribute to a conversation. That’s why I’d go back and forth with you before I would engage with the people deliberately trying to spark a divisive argument.
I’m 100% sure that if I grouped with Akston and came up short I would be treated just fine.
