People who can't follow a good tank, play followers

LOL “good tank” pulls whole dungeon with aoe caster mobs that don’t follow, cast aoe that the healer can’t heal without pulling aggro?

No thanks. Keep your team alive or play follower dungeons. If dps is taking a lot of damage from the mobs you’re pulling you need to stop and establish aggro so the healer can heal them.

Also if YOU’RE taking a lot of damage? Slow the eff down lol. This isn’t MDI.

Pretty sure all the good tanks are doing trash skips with suicides and not pretending like padding dps in heroic dungeons matters.

I don’t get how this deals with tanks that don’t know how to play with other people in dungeons. Some of those people actually want to play a dungeon entirely. Running behind a tank that fails to pick up 1/2 of the trash and runs LOS isn’t fun.

I’m not sure why anyone would encourage this type of behavior.

You can keep doing that, but on the rare chance that I get paired with you, I’d leave before you started the first pull.

A good tank would communicate that. I guess it’s not you lol

This is the whiniest post I’ve ever seen on the forums. As other’s have said, it’s definitely YOU who needs to play followers, or with friends, but the way you act towards people who are likely new or casual tells me all I need to know about you having any friends(you don’t)…

It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to tell the people in the party what your game plan is if this is happening to such a frequency you feel the need to post it on the forums. Not only that, it just goes to show that you’re a part of the toxic side of the community who plays this game. Learn how to communicate with other people in your dungeons in a meaningful capacity and I assure you your dungeons will run smoother.

I’ve been pulling half of the dungeon since release. I’ve had maybe 2-3 groups die, rarely is it myself.

How am I dismounted and pulling more than you can keep up with?

Excellent

You’re destroying dungeons with your go go go attitude and causing toxicity.

Ill take things that dont happen for 500 Alex.

Seriously, tanks can pretty well solo normal dungeon runs

then, they should solo the dungeons instead of causing other players a denial of a core feature of this game.

What in the world is “proximity aggro”? Are you talking about healing aggro? You don’t generate passive threat.

Casters should be LOS’d. I don’t care who got the aggro, everyone doing damage and taking damage should tuck into the nearest corner.

Problem solved.

Thats what follower dungeons were meant for. Precisely that crowd of people.

Majority of everyone else is thankful for the fast run

there’s nothing to communicate. if the tank is moving, you should be too. the pull begins when the tank stops gathering, not the second they enter combat.

I think proximity aggro refers to the way the AI responds to toons in dungeons. Any toon can aggro most npcs just by walking past them.

Heck, it’s almost like the npcs are real live people. Able to determine if they want to attack something on their own.

You’re free to do that; you’re free to play the role yourself if you want to also.

If I’m playing the role, and took the time to spec and gear as a tank, I’m playing it to the extent that I can. I’m going to pull as much as I can while still being mostly self sufficient. If that’s 3-5 packs, so be it. If it’s 1, so be it.

Blizzard can’t tune an infinite scaling mode without a starting point. I’m order for that content to feel like it has appropriate growth, the starting point is low.

What this tells me is the community is just hogwash at actually pressing cooldowns in any meaningful manner.

Threat range is how the tank is gathering, most times, that’s why you try to follow the tank’s path as closely as possible if he’s gathering. Or why you stack so close for skips, sometimes.

i.e. no one is randomly getting aggro for being close, as long as you’re not butt pulling, but this is an honest mistake and you just drag those to where the tank stops.

Well, I respectfully disagree.

I’ve been in a ton of dungeons with the new tank mentality of running off and pulling 1/2 the dungeon. It’s pervasive and is an issue.

The adds the tank leaves behind DO aggro on toons because they switch aggro to the nearest person. Hence, aggro…

Disagree with what?

Quote what you disagree with, please.

They only do this if you do something. Heal, damage, interrupting (if it hasn’t been damaged at all by the tank)

and you can handle one interrupted mob as you move with the tank. Trust me.

Does this help?
