People only want what they don’t have

I guess if your definition of “wanting” is to want something you don’t have, that’s kind of circular, eh?

At the time those things were removed the content would not have been challenging. Now that we have scaling in the game those things could come back. The cloak was always announced to be limited. The problem is not that the cloak was removed but that the storyline was removed and Blizzard did not honor the claim that you would still be able to access Ordos without the cloak.

they’d whine and cry about but still continue eating the slop like the good piggies they are

People are allowed to want things… they just might not get whatever it is that they want.

Also, any form of setting goals and projects for yourself, is wanting something you don’t have.

I don’t want the whole world, just your half.

Sure - although going forward, I believe it’s far better to retune a thing so it’s evergreen than just abandon it. Mage Towers are a good example. Removed and at the time, the devs said in an interview that part of the reason was new gear would make doing one trivial. But, a few years later, they’re back and ilvl is caped. Making them harder than they were in the dying days of legion.

Removing content is never a great idea - because it’s removing potential activities a player base can work towards. Yes, there’s the bonus of getting people to do a thing for the year or so its up - but you lose potentially decades of gameplay going forward.

I don’t think i will ever understand this “reasoning” because maybe it’s too nonsensical to understand.

You want to BAR people and restrict access to something 10 years ago because “it’s too late get over it”

But make it green instead of blue and now its ok?

So the real problem people have is…The set can come back without any texture changes or model updates…as long as it isn’t the same color?

So what’s the issue? the armor appearance? or the color that you don’t want people to have?

Same argument with the Legion artifact appearances. People are ok with them coming back, BUT DONT YOU DARE TOUCH MY YELLOW VERSION???

I’d be happy with a recolour from a new CM feat.

Or, better yet, a permanent version of the CM titles.

It surprises me how they have repeated the same thing with bringing back the Naxx stuff, those who spent millions on BMAH were happy that the minimum to buy a T3 was 2.8m gold, and now some minorities who have the CM or who don’t they have it, they are happy that there is not even a recolor, even though the majority, including several who have CM sets, want them to come back but as a recolor and not the originals, this is no reason to be happy or grateful, many of those who We were happy with the return of Naxx Classic is for Corrupted Ashbringer, Atiesh or T3, they gave us T3 but with a lot of gold and RNG, while they illogically kept exclusive CA and Atiesh, and now the same thing happens with this MoP, the appearances of the legendary cape return but keep the CM transmogs exclusive, despite having at least 2 recolors of each set in the database that they could use.

There is a difference between removing content and removing rewards. When we are talking about evergreen content I don’t see the Mage Tower as a good example of that. The content does not change, it does not grow, and neither does the rewards. People don’t have a reason to keep doing the content. The Trading Post is the closest we have to evergreen content. The activities change and the rewards are updated to keep people coming back to.

There is nothing wrong with have content set to be a limited time. That kind of content can be used as testing grounds for content more integrated in the game. It allows for the devs to try something out it leaving an lasting impact on the game. People talk about FOMO at lot but that is really a personal problem. Fear of missing out is more about the person with the fear than the game that has limited time items and events.

Guess agree to disagree.

If you have a challenge that people spend hours doing? And took maybe 100 odd tries to accomplish? Seems something worth keeping. Because someone is going to discover it and spend many happy (or frustrating) hours trying to beat it.

If it’s just removed? Then they won’t. And if there’s a serious lull in the game, they’re more likely to leave and not return.

Some things I’m okay with being one offs - Titles for example. A good example would be the green flame warlock quest. Rock hard at the time but gave the Black Harvest title as a reward - something I always have displayed on my lock. But if the green flame itself was removed? That would be terrible. Yet… they could have, just as easily as any of the challenge sets, mounts, cloaks or whatever. They just randomly decided not to and the game is better for it (I’d actually think it would have been fun to keep the ilvl for it capped - making it far harder to unlock).

And FOMO is… sure. I’m not wild about it. It’s okay, but usually it’s just a marketing thing. Get this exclusive x now or don’t be a cool kid. I’m more interested in whatever gives people reasons to play going forward.

No they don’t, and you know it.

The Class Hall sets took inspiration from the CM sets, but are heavily modified and the shoulders/helms look nothing like the CM ones specifically so CM holders still felt special.

guess what. and thats all youll ever be able to get

But they didn’t. They recoloured the CM mounts. If they were keeping to their word they wouldn’t have recoloured it.

Oh it’s because no one cares about the mounts right. :upside_down_face:

Did I say otherwise? No.

I called you out on your lie that there are recolors.

bc they are recolors

Except they quite literally aren’t.

OP hasn’t posted once in this thread since making it.

Therefore, it’s obviously meant to bait people into an argument.

Would just ignore it… but I realize I’m not helping.

I have done CM pandaria.

I don’t care if others have what i have. Ya’ll are too weird and worried someone else has your pixels.
