People only want what they don’t have

As someone with two sets I wanted, fully agreed.

The achievement is there if you feel the need to scream at people that you were playing the game back then. But nobody actually cares. I’ve been busy getting other rewards in the game and not making a video game my personality, so why would I care if other people could get it?

I mostly meant OP is just trying to make people mad, and there’s no reason for people to get mad at this thread.

u say this like u benefit others.

when u only truly want sets you never got.

blizz will never add CMs deal with it

Here is mine, the only one i liked and it was the shaman one. WoW transmog to me is nothing special, most of it is ugly.

If I want to play a fashion game, I’ll play one that doesn’t have painted on clothes

Could we have compromised and added recolors?

I never said they had to add anything. I was countering OP’s point that “remaining true to their word” is kinda worthless when I don’t think Blizz is doing me a service.

You must have me confused with somebody else. I’m gonna play either way, but that doesn’t mean I can’t say people are weird for feeling protective over something they got 10 years ago.

You’ve been arguing with people in multiple threads about this, why does it bother you?

That’s also another good point. I didn’t even like half the sets, which was why I didn’t get them back then.

They weren’t hard to get. Just a matter of stepping into the instance and trying.

So what happens then when someone who has all the CM sets or any other cosmetic that is gone who then says they’d be fine with them being brought back, what’s the underlying reason?

I wanted the Kor’kron Wolf brought back. I also have it, so clearly it’s not because I’m missing it.

Yeah, that’s exactly my point… I’m 100% fine with them bringing back anything I have. Like the 2 person rocket that got added to the trading post, even though I had it for years.

It’s really not about me. It’s about how I feel taking good stuff out of the game and not putting in comparable replacements isn’t fun or interesting, in my opinion.

As someone who has the CM set, phoenix mounts, and AOTC wolf, they could bring them all back for all I care. People who cling so tightly to decade old pixels need to go outside and get some fresh air.

They look like peaches?

Are you saying that they are peachy-keen then?

Maybe they can’t. The average US adult can’t read at a 9th grade level.

Interesting discourse, but let me set the record straight: I’m sincere about it. So many people belittle challenge modes “oh they must have bought it” “oh they were so easy”. I’m here to tell you that for an average player for the years they were available no. They weren’t. There are a lot of us that spend hours, days, weeks optimizing gear, farming stealth potions, learning routes . Heck, just coordinating a group to attempt them could be an undertaking. Who is it special for ? Me. People like me. We don’t “lord” it over anyone else. I’m not better than anyone playing currently but I was there at the time and it’s nice to have a little somethjng in game as a reminder of that. I don’t have many of the keystone mounts. I don’t have any gladiator sets. I’m happy for those who do and I don’t feel “left out” that I can’t get them now. Blizzard just added a TON of new and unique things we’re all on an equal playing field for with the new event. They’re keeping to their word and a lot of us did put a lot of time into. It’s not wrong, it’s not gate keeping, it’s just appreciating that sometimes it’s okay for unique things to be unique.

CM really is a “you can’t go home again” feature. Players have gotten so much better at optimizing their gameplay since MoP that brining back CM would be a slap in the face to those who did it when it was current.

Blizzard (Read: not the devs) don’t really care about you, and if you think they do it isn’t in your favor. They’ve already brought back time-limited things through re-releases, twitch, BMAH, newer remodels (that were sometimes used for $ incentive), etc…

I love not being allowed to want things because people who are whining want to feel special. Says a lot about people

Good for them and good for you.

All rewards will eventually be from Amazon rewards or Twitch drops.

Didn’t blizz say that they wanted to keep the legion spider unique? Maybe I’m wrong but I could have sworn something was said about it and hence the 2mill price tag on it for gold sink.

Only if they value “thing” because it’s scarce, not because they like “thing”, which is a very egotistical outlook, typical of people that need to feel special (and grow up).

If you already have “thing” and actually have been using it for that long, your “reward” is having it long before anyone else in the first place.

This is as silly as complaining about the TCG mounts on the TP.

I’m sorry man I think it’s fine for a relative handful of things to be prestige items that you needed to be there at the time and do the work for.

People also aren’t just asking for the chance to acquire them again. They’re asking for the chance to acquire them in a new accelerated experience with experimental new power and modern classes. I just think they are expecting way too much to be basically handed to them.
