Glad to see you coming to your senses
Because it’s a video game, and they probably already learned that lesson regardless if they transfer vs reroll.
Like how does rerolling fundamentally differ from transferring to you?
Hey Orcasms - I’m a Venture Co and Emerald Dream Player. There was most certainly widespread and large scale WPVP until Legion.
So yeah, def knew what I was signing up for.
My husband and I are original players from beta original wow, we have played various privates, and anxiously, looked forward too classic. We wanted original wpvp experience, we remember it, it was fun (I was a fm, I loved it so much). We rolled on Whitemane, alliance, the leveling exp was great, only occasional ganking, you could always start a fight if you wanted one, but for the most part Horde was as anxious to get to 60 and into the dungeon meat of the game as Alliance was. Was WPVP was patched, all fun stopped for us. No longer could we farm (hunters, and we love to farm) work on our skills, (not safe in the world to mine, herb, farm runecloth) repeated corpse camping, being overrun by 20 horde on 1 or 2 alliance got to be a huge bore. Tried the southshore dance, and it got real boring…fast…this exp has been nothing like the original wow exp. We rerolled on Pagle also, and restarting diff toons. We will go back to play bg’s, but I don’t see it lasting past a few months there. We are happy to have moved on, we would have liked to bring our 60’s, but we understand why we were not able. Too many people on one server, on one side, makes it zero fun.
easy to say when your a rogue and cant just stealth away
Have you seen the videos of level 50 alliance trying to level on horde dominate servers? They have good reason to complain. EVerywhere they go to level , there’s like 50 horde.
I was on one of those servers. I did not want to be part of that so I transferred. Ganking at that level isn’t fun for anyone.
Mmm, nah.
I personally think letting people transfer off the server is fine. dropping a 48+ character isn’t like dropping a 48+ character in retail. Its a huge time investment, and people are far more likely to just stop playing instead of starting over from scratch, which doesn’t help -anyone- especially not blizzard.
Full transfers off PvP servers to those who want it, to PvE servers, or RP servers would probably be the best route to take.
No one’s saying they should be allowed to willy nilly jump around on servers, but this sort of fix will fix things.
Also I literally do not care what “no changes” people say, they are also the people that will wrongly refuse to admit fixing actual bugs and broken questlines and mechanics would be a good thing.
Faction queues have been done on private servers - they didn’t work.
…if only there were instances, where the other faction couldn’t go…
Or maybe, JUST MAYBE, you log on during your server’s off hours…
Man, wouldn’t those options be awesome…
People did know what they signed up for, to die by the hands of my gnome! Come at me bro…
Valak, not everyone can log in at 6 am to level. Even then, you aren’t going to be able to level on the overpopulated 10k + servers.
Maybe, JUST MAYBE, if blizzard had kept the server populations smaller, kept a faction balance with faction queues to create a character, there wouldn’t be a problem.
It’s amazing how many people are like “I made an informed decision that worked out well for me, and anyone who didn’t is garbage.”
Look, i’m in the same boat, I came from Mordred on DAoC when vanilla hit, which is way more hardcore pvp than wow. I love wpvp and i joined and am having a blast playing a pvp server on classic.
That doesn’t mean i’m fundamentally superior to the people who for a varied number of reasons rolled the wrong server. Let them transfer, it’s fine.
OP might have a point.
Theres a reason back in ACTUAL vanilla, half the servers were PvE ruleset…
Now look at the balance of current servers. Something is either waaaay off, or people didn’t have as much information as they thought.
Now my server is a clustertruck because entire guilds are trying to reroll over to the PvE servers to escape the PvP realms but our server is already full, and its screwing everything up. Can barely get through the queue in time to make our raids.
Mordred… Now thats PvP. Chaotic, no factions. Just bloodshed all around Mag Mel and everywhere else. I lasted all of one week trying to play there, lol.
ive seen them, I also saw that happen in vanilla… the difference being that since the servers were smaller, the amount of complaints were smaller as well. Also, you took my statement out of context to cover everyone complaining, again not everyone has that issue as I have stated multiple times in my posts on this issue. You are discounting that there are also people who are jumping on the bandwagon because they just dislike wpvp.
There actually was a person last week who in a post complainig made the statement of “I hope you never get to wpvp again once bgs come out, it should never have been allowed”
you going to tell me that person is only upset about leveling on horde dominated servers?
Actually the pvp server to pve server ration is a bit off, that could also be part of the issue, and is a good point.
Why is people whining considered evidence of a failure by Blizzard? You can go to the forums of literally any game in the world and find… players whining. Do all game designers suck or maybe just gamers like to whine?
Don’t let Valak troll you, he’s a literal brainlet. Wants people to reroll to another server but somehow sees that as different than someone transferring a character to a PvE server? Either way you aren’t going to be getting honor from them because they are leaving lmao.
Look, the solution is easier than you think, if you cant have fun in a game you have 0 control over, play another game, you can decide your own fate, don’t force yourself to suffer and dwell alone on forums thinking any of these posts will ever fix anything. If blizzard was listening they would have answered my calls on the forums to rename shadowbolt to “Spicey Purple Meatballs” but alas, it has fallen on death ears.
Don’t mean to butt in, but looking at this thread.
Your talking to a dead wall, someone whom is totally obstinate and refuse to acknowledge there is a problem, and probably never will.
They are a clear griefer type, whom just enjoys inflicting misery on others, no matter the circumstances, and offers terrible half-baked “examples” of ways to get around things… despite refusing to accept the fact that some of these servers are in a state that none of his “Suggestions” work.
I’d just save yourself the headache and ignore him.
I certainly can’t speak for anyone else, but for me, I knew what I was getting into. I loved wPvP in vanilla, and played exclusively on PvP servers until the last six months or so, when I jumped with friends to a new PvE server to race for raids and opening the gates to AQ before BC.
So I rolled on a PvP server here and got to 30+ in the first few days, where of course you’re flagged everywhere you quest. After more ganking than I wanted, I quit and rolled on another server. I realized that I didn’t have the patience I had 15 years ago. Now I just want to mess around for an hour and have fun, not stress for an hour and break keyboards.
Don’t like the state of your PvP server? Go somewhere else. It worked for me.
