I did level it up. I don’t want to throw away all that time invested. Why is this such a hard concept to understand. PVP servers are unaffected on whether I transfer or quit.
Blizzard is a business in it to make money. They will surely see the logic in allowing transfers paid or otherwise.
Here’s the thing though, if server changes are introduced you will have a MASSIVE exodus. It would be the biggest mistake blizzard would ever make. Private servers would run rampant.
You’ve already state that the game sucks and there’s nothing to do. Couldn’t you just level another character?
No. Im not a troll. The only people who would leave to a PVE server are people who didn’t understand what PVP servers would be like and found out they didn’t want to play on one but would be happy playing on a PVE server. That’s all.
Obviously anyone who likes PVP won’t transfer out.
You’d have massive exodus of people quitting or transferring. In the end the pvp server still loses a player regardless of what happens. The only positive outcome is that the player is happy and blizzard keeps a sub.
Transfers or not pvp servers are going to lose players.
I am all for a week or two grace period that blizzard charges a fee for a one time transfer to a pve server.
If the pvp server is on life support then its up to the players to fix that. Going back in time and warning people would still have the exact same outcome as we have now, a shortage of alliance and small pockets of horde not wanting to pvp just like in retail.
Because it really wasn’t bad at all until phase 2 came out then suddenly it became really really bad. Before phase 2 every you could still get stuff done without constant harassment and corpse running.
I only started playing WoW recently. I had no idea what PVP would be like.
See the post I am replying to where the OP literally quotes all the mod posts warning people. It doesn’t matter if you have never played before. Even before launch they were warning people of these potential issues and overpopulation. Just go back and read the blue posts.
Given that Fairbanks has dwindled from 55/45 to nearly 68/32 in the last 4 weeks, we’re well on our way to this right now. I did Molten Core last week, haven’t touched WoW since. I’ll log in sometime on Wednesday to get my next raid invite as I’m already at the entrance to MC.
Maybe I’ll be lucky and not get obliterated the moment I fade into existence to the usual crew of camping Horde, but chances are I won’t be and I’ll die. But I’m just one corpse run from zoning and that suits me just fine.
Either way, whether by Blizzard transfers off the imbalanced servers or players just logging in less or quitting, the PvP servers will become PvE.
Enjoy not opening AQ when the minority faction can’t take two steps in a contested zone without being steamrolled by wPvP starved opposing faction members, with no recourse.
Because the occasional skirmish of 1-4 people against 1-4 other people, usually close-ish in level, near commonly traversed roads or small questing areas is a world of difference from a roaming caravan of death. I’d prefer what I experienced while leveling in Classic and from Vanilla in STV, where bored 60’s camped endlessly until you left or got some buddies to run them off.
If you insist on bundling together every conceivable facet of wPvP into the exact same lumped category, no one is going to take you seriously.
