Guess what this game is about gear and item level and so why gatekeep those who have joined in post launch. Like what is this mentality that the forums have it’s like everyone on here is so self obsessed and or selfish.
While normal dungeon ilvl probably needs an upgrade, you shouldn’t be doing normal dungeons to get ilvl to enter heroic in the first place.
It’s unnecessary and will take significantly more time and effort than the other options.
554 is silly.
Easiest fix Blizzard could do, would mostly solve the problem, make this a no-brainer, if they want people to “work” for it still: make normals drop Explorer 1/8 gear. Heroics still require more than that, but that at least allows people to farm the gear from normals, farm the valorstones, and upgrade it.
Blizzard, I’ll take my payment in the form of the cash shop items you never delivered when I purchased them and told me “tough luck” when I put in a ticket.

Yeah, I don’t know what you even talking about I have never done any LFR so stop trying to post Warcraft logs when I have disabled third party from gathering my game data when I signed up to play this game.
If you’re looking for empathy you will find none here OP. Specially after people that are min maxing the hell out of every single thing nowdays will never care about people “behind” them.
The change seems backwards considering how they never announced it in any sort of way.
The change is to somewhat counter people not using their keys but only at 8… (which honestly it makes sense why people is holding their keys you can’t blame them for wanting the maximum reward they can get)

554 is more than enough to jump the gun and head straight to m0 with a bunch of friends. Nobody is also stopping you from Buying some gear off the auction house for a few thousand gold and upgrade the gear to 580 with little to no effort besides playing the game. You can do that too.
They didn’t even mention any of this in any articles they have posted nor on any hotfix post. And so, I am holding out hopes that something will happen.
Then 554 should be more than enough to queue for heroics…like it was on Monday.

Sure but I wouldnt count on it. They reduced the amount of gear from caches but they gave keys that sent you to delves. They want people to use the keys not hoard them. If they did announce this prehand I wouldnt have any issue but they released the season and made the change which is absolute wild to me.
What do you want them to do for you? They can’t give you gear. They gave you advice.
Idk, maybe do the steps required before moving onto harder content?
Maybe people shouldn’t run normal expecting that to be the only method of acquiring gear for the next step, Heroics?
This entire thing is just a non-issue lol. For the vast majority of players.
World content is vastly easier than any normal dungeon, and gives better rewards lol. (And it’s faster!)
Yet, folks here refuse and would rather scream at the sky.

You have like 5 boss kills in LFR amirdrasil that are logged.

because heroic used to require 551 as recently as Monday, so 554 was more than fine. Not exactly rocket science…
We were literally going straight from normals to heroic dungeons last week.

I just hit 80 on my shaman last night, did a few world events, then went to bed. I’ve been on today for about 45 minutes, and I’m already 563 with zero help from my other level 80 classes, and haven’t even touched a dungeon at level 80 yet
It’s annoying but it’s not the end of the world, there are plenty of sources to get some nice entry level gear with minimal effort. Do world quests, get your weekly caches, hunt some rares, do some crafting. Honestly if you want to hear about a bad time trying to go from normal to heroic dungeons, you should’ve been here for original Cata lol

If given the option between a world quest with a +20 ilvl reward or a dungeon with a “chance” to get a reward. Yeah I would do the world quest.
After world quest is cleared, yeah the dungeon value increases.
