Hey there! I’m wondering what are the opportunities to actually get into a raiding team (let’s just say the AOTC one) for Shadowlands? Your enrollment appears to be completely open, but obviously there are a finite number of spots in any given raid, so I’m wondering how that works.
I did mythic progression with my old (now disbanded) guild in WoD and the first couple tiers in Legion, but haven’t been in a guild or raided since then… and I’m interested in getting back into it. But if those teams are already set, I’d presumably need to look elsewhere.
In general, when the raid fills up, we have an alternates list. We’ve had more than 1 raid team going. We have the AOTC but we may have a couple more doing learning raids which can lead to progression. We’ll also have catch-up raids to get people AOTC if we have someone to run it. So there are a lot of opportunities to raid. That goes for both factions. If you’re interested here’s our contact info again:
Contacts:
Alliance side: contact a guild member via /who Pénsive (to get the accent press alt and type 130)
Horde side: contact a guild member via /who Pensive
Either side:

Shadowlands is coming soon! You may find yourself looking for an active guild with lots of things to do. Check out Pensive, we are dual faction. It is looking like we will have multiple raid teams on both Alliance and Horde. There is also lots of folks doing keys and special events to get M+ groups together.
There are tons of other stuff going on including mount runs, group farming, leveling, older content, mog runs, PVP, and achievements just to name a few.
Pensive is a very nonjudgmental guild where you play what you want and have fun. No drama here. It is also very well run and organized with a very active leadership team.
Check us out. There is something for everyone!

If you are looking for a friendly/helpful guild then look no further to call this place your home. Ive been a part of this community for over 2 years now and this is what a guild should be. Pensive is always looking for fresh faces to join and grow to be a family thats willing to either help you gear up or just have a relaxing coversation. Every day there are members joining mythics with each other/weekly raids/mount runs/other activities that keep you well satisfied with playing the game with other like minded people.
The rules they set also keep the place drama free. Lets face it we all just come to these games to get away from everyday life and enjoy some peace and quiet while virtually mud stomping murlocs :slight_smile

I like what you’re selling mister, but have some questions if not too much trouble. The last couple guilds I tried didn’t work out due to these factors.

I’m afflicted with genetic sarcasmitis and my sense of humor is a bit “off”. This has caused issues. Example: Fell off a platform way back when cough ICC not progression cough, said in vent “[healer name] you said you could through heal anything! You lied!” /gkicked the next day for being mean… Mayura-dalaran, Bait-kargath, and this character are most of my posting, Mysfyre-norgannon was my old big poster (due to TL3) for examples of my attitude/humor.

When excited profanity happens, I wouldn’t say excessive, but it happens.

I work nights. Would like to get back into raiding and do M+ this xpac. My schedule causes issues with that. They either start too early or end too late.

I have a tendency to herp when I needed to derp, but with orders can usually pull it together quickly. I understand making mistakes, we all do, but where’s the limit? Wiping at 96% and the next wipe is 95% is progress and I’m cool with that.
Wiping over and over and over for 3 hours at the same mechanic gives me enough rage to supply the entire warrior class until the end of time. Example: Firelands. We didn’t kill certain bosses until I toon swapped and took over tanking those ones. We never killed rag because “having fun” was more important than replacing the people with TBC gems/no enchants/doing less damage than the healer or dying within a minute on every boss.

I don’t follow the cookie cutters. My builds are based on playstyle, utility, and my own sims (I really miss maintankadin the theorycrafting discussions there were epic) over what guides say. Sometimes they line up sometimes they don’t. I often take a skill/perk/whatever that allows me to offset a mechanic, click clickys, solo a world boss… Example: Was told my spec and gearing was wrong when declined for a fight… and later that night rocked it with another group and a 99% parse.
I’m not looking to push mythic raids or +50. I’d be happy with clearing +15s and normal (maybe heroic if lucky) while current. Mayura is the one I’d be looking to guild. BM Hunter. Tiaska here is mostly going to be a farmer (she’s bear only, my healing will kill us all, and I SUCK at drood dps).
All this posted on forums instead of asking/contacting in game because I HATE bugging people… and with that I’ll end the wordvomit.
I’m not really sure how to respond to all of that…but you can bnet me if you wish to discuss…and it’s ma’am…briar#1421
I’m known in the guild as ELLA
I joined in early 2018. Over that time my availability, and what I wanted to do in the game have changed wildly but I have never found myself without a group of people want to do the same crazy stuff as me. Some people I’ve played with since the beginning and some people I met this month. We still have a great time adventuring! I don’t think I’ll ever leave. Pensive is my guild home because it’s a family <3

My wife and I joined Pensive back in the early days of Battle for Azeroth hoping to find a friendly, non toxic and welcoming community. What we found was a home not just for our toons but also for us.
Pensive allows us to leave any real world problems outside and come in to the game in a drama free environment. Over our many years since meeting back in Vanilla wow we’ve been in a few guilds that had either great community, great raiding, great dungeoneering or acheivement runs, etc. None have brought it together as well as Pensive.
Kudos (or kodos) go to the wonderful leadership that set a great example and take their time to do all the behind the scene stuff that make great guilds great, and kudos to the rest of the ranks for making such a warm and friendly atmosphere. There are always groups to run with, usually multiple raids each week and a discord second to none. I hope to see more nondiscriminatory, friendly and social adventurers join us.

I joined Pensive about just over a year ago now. I’ve played for many years on and off and joined Numerous guilds. I’ve never felt more comfortable and happier then the place that I found with Pensive. Wanna escape IRL issues or problems that don’t follow you into the game Pensive is the place to be. Whether you like Mythics, Raids or etc you’re basically free to play the game how you like under your own playstyle.
I’ve joined other Guilds in the past that become so focused on Raiding or Mythics you can’t even play the class or spec you wanted without someone telling me there’s too much in the guild already and I have to play such and such. With Pensive it’s such a wide community of people within willing to help out with almost anything you would need without scrutinizing you or making you feel like a n00b. I’ve met tons of people in the guild since I joined i’ve also made some nice online friends as well. The amount of events and giveaways also always blew me out cause it’s hard enough running a guild with hundreds of people nevermind always organizing activities and so on. The leadership team has been A+ and super welcoming and helpful when I joined.
So whether you’re a hardcore or easy going player it’s definitely worth giving a check. We also have a few players on different sides of the coast within our guild so it’s always nice as well to see people on at night or times of the day you wouldn’t normally so you never feel alone
So in conclusion if you’re looking for a new place to embrace the Shadowlands I highly recommend you come and give us a visit and see how you like. Chances are high you’ll end up staying and becoming a part of our WoW family

Pensive (Horde or Alliance) are both the kind of guilds you always wanted to find. People are always friendly, kind, and helpful. There is no elitism, whether you raid, PVP, or do your own thing. We are all there with the same goal - to have fun playing a game we love. If you need help with something, all you have to do is ask, and most of the time, you will have multiple volunteers. It truly is a guild home for you and all of your toons. I have been in the guild for two years, and I am proud to call it my guild home.

Pensive is the best Guild I have ever been in. No lies, no bulls**t, pure honesty.
I have played WoW on and off since 2005 and have spent time on many accounts, and many realms, and with plenty of other Guilds. No other Guild I have been in can even come close to the welcoming, friendly, active, and helpful atmosphere of Pensive (both Horde or Alliance side). There are always people on and the vast majority of those people are talkative and absolutely ready to help you with anything you need - whether it’s just an answer to a question, or help running a dungeon, or mailing over cheap crafted materials - this Guild is immensely fun and helpful to be in.
I have been in Pensive for at least 2 years (I can’t remember if I joined at the end of Legion or the start of BfA) and I have felt welcomed and “a part of the team” for the entire time. In all honesty, one of my favorite parts of WoW at this moment is signing in and immediately putting “Hello Guild!” into Guild chat and seeing a handful of fellow Guildies say “Hello” back. In other Guilds I’ve been in, I usually can’t even get a “Hi,” even if there’s 30+ logged on.
Simply put: This Guild is active, they have multiple raid teams, and plenty of activities to participate in. This Guild is friendly, there are always people on and they actually talk to each other. This Guild is respectful, they respect your need to sign in, have fun, and leave the IRL behind. This Guild is organized, the Officer team knows what they’re doing and do what they can to make everyone feel appreciated and welcomed as well as keeping all of the expectations, guidelines, and various methods of communication (the Discord is awesome and active too!) clearly stated and updated. This Guild has everything that you want and need out of a Guild and, once you’re in, you will never look back.

I have been with Pensive since end of Legion content going into BFA and it’s been almost what, three years? The point is, I keep coming back because of the people and the Leadership team. When they say they’re inclusive? It’s meant.
They have several activity groups and various ways to participate in everything. This years been rough for me with IRL stuff and coming back to WOW for SL and coming back to my home guild has been a weight off my shoulders. I can always count on them for a fun time.
Do join us, you won’t regret it.
