You can play whatever you want to play. It’s your experience. We welcome all classes and play styles.
Horde Sat RBG team recruiting! 11:45a-3p EST!
Yeah I joined.
10/10 would join again. Lovely bunch of people. Lots to do and many wonderful people.
Hi! Had just pre-ordered the shadow lands physical CE and looking to get back into WoW after a little break. When I last played I was leveling a Dark Iron Dwarf on dalaran and would be continuing with that. Would love to join if you would have me! I have been playing since BC on and off and have done raiding and mythic plus in the past with some PvP mixed in. Could never just find a friendly guild like in FFXIV so hoping this may be the place I was looking for.
If you guys are still taking people I’d love to talk to someone about joining this weekend.
A friend of mine joined a few months back, she’s a fairly new player to wow but she had a bad experience with the horde side guild being very clique’ish and being sent inappropriate whispers from guild members. I guess you can’t win them all.
We are always accepting new folks in our ranks. Everyone’s experience is their own but we have a casual environment but also we do a lot of content like raids, mythic dungeons, events, contests, etc.
Did your friend get help from guild leadership Sylent?
We quickly address any guild infractions. Anyone harassed or sent inappropriate whispers is dealt with immediately. All we need are screenshots. We trust our guild members to report such things.
I’m not sure , when we talked she told me she just left.
I joined a few months ago but then had to quit for awhile. I’m back now and was wondering if I should apply through the guild finder again or is there someone I can contact in game to receive another invite?
A lot of folks can invite. Just do a /who nsive for alliance or /who Pensive for horde to find someone to ask. You can always use our bnet tags - Either side:
Co-GM Asch @ Bnet Aschien#11798
Co-GM DOC @ Bnet Brighthammer#1121642
Assistant GM Frah @ Bnet Inzania#11304
GM Briar @ Bnet Briar#1421
Excited for Shadowlands! Horde Sat afternoon AOTC team will have open recruitment! Briar#1421 bnet <3
Hey I’m pretty interested in finding a guild for both factions…what classes or roles are most needed on Horde side atm?
Honestly, whatever you like playing the most really.
I wanted to just throw a big thumbs up for the Pensive crew. I joined on the Horde side a couple of weeks ago and everyone has been incredibly nice and helpful. Every day guild chat is active with people wanting to do activities and there is always something going on.
I was able to get involved in M+ after being afraid to try for a long time and I’m having a blast. Really it’s one of if not the best guild I’ve been part of in over 10 years of playing WoW. I’ve wanted to find a guild that dabbled in a variety of content for ages and I’ve finally found it
Pensive is by far the best guild experience I’ve had. I started playing WoW 4 months ago and spent several months trying out different servers and guilds that had nice reputations and attractive things to say in the forums and on reddit. Pensive actually lives up to their advertisement. Any random day any random time I find lots of people online and they’re constantly interacting with each other instead of everyone off doing their own thing. The best thing for me was their willingness to do things with low level members. There are plenty of people levelling alts as well as new players coming in so you can always find someone willing to group up.
An important distinction for me is the attitude. When a low level new player asks a question in gchat that could be answered themselves by looking on wowhead, Pensive’s response was not 10 ppl replying “Google it”. There has always been a helpful response given and with sincerity. When someone needs help in legacy dungeons or raids to get a quest, the response isn’t “use group finder”. So far it has been “oh! You’ll need help with that. I’ll be right there. invite me!” People care here. There isn’t an attitude of “oh you’re not 120 so you’re not important”. They never seem to blow off their fellow guildies, and they actively encourage people to participate even if you’re not very good yet.
There are structured events in nearly all game modes every week, fun random activities regularly, and well organized and healthy Discord as well. They’re active, thoughtful about people’s experiences, well organized, forward thinking about the health of the guild, and is a place to feel like you’re not missing out on any aspect of the game.
SHADOWLANDS IS GETTING CLOSER!
Welcome new and returning players (and others looking for a guild home)
Shadowlands gets ever closer and the interest in trying or coming back to World of Warcraft has been rising with the news about what we can expect in the new expansion. That means many more people looking for a guild, and Pensive is excited about what the new content will bring.
Of course in a guild advertisement there will be a good deal of enthusiasm about the atmosphere, benefits, and activities of the guild. It’s always important to keep in mind, though, that a gaming guild is only as good as its members.
Pensive relies on its members for leadership, creativity, enthusiasm, participation, and atmosphere. It’s great to see what any guild has to offer, but for any healthy guild it’s never just a one-way street. That doesn’t mean members have to take on responsibilities or have some minimum number of activities they are expected to join per month. Rather, it means we all get out of the guild what we collectively put into it:
- If you have an idea for the guild, please share
- If you want to put together or sign up for an activity, go for it
- Current raid or M+ groups full? See if anyone wants to join you in starting another
- Have a funny story or cute pet pics to share? Do it
- See a guild member harassing people? Screenshot it and send it to leadership ASAP
- Want to do a pop-up trivia game in guild chat? Bring it on!
Of course, not everyone can do everything that every guildie wants to do at every hour of the day, but there are many active channels on the guild Discord to set things up and you can often find people in Gchat available for smaller, easier to jump into activities.
No guild is perfect or problem free, but some stand out for their pursuit of a fun, active, and inclusive presence in the game. We are seeking people who want to join us in chasing those goals while having a great time along the way. If you want to come along for the ride, hop in and get yourself ready for a trip to the underworld.
See you on the Other Side…
Pensive is awesome! For all the peeps who’s playing days date back to Vanilla, this is the closest guild I’ve found to capturing the sense of community and togetherness that the guilds of old had.
For those of you new to the game, the guild is super helpful and non-judgmental. It’s large enough that you will have a helping hand regardless of time zone. It’s definitely one of the easier guilds to get acclimated to the game.
For everyone in between, Pensive has great balance for those with alt addictions & those who are seriously into progression. Both horde and alliance have a bunch of weekly events and leadership doesn’t tolerate nonsense so the culture has been preserved well in the 2 years I’ve been here.
