Penalty for leaving mythic plus

only the one forming a group for the key is punished, wtf are u on about lol

When you put the key in the font, you should get a screen like the TG queue, where you can pick the level (it just wouldn’t let you choose higher than your key)

I wish they would bring back “your key downgrades into a random dungeon”, that way you could at least avoid the PITA dungeons (Sanguine Depths, etc).

Even if your pug fell apart/failed there was the off chance that your key rerolled to an easier dungeon.

That would be awful for people trying to intentionally lower their key for a specific dungeon.

Player quality of life would be greatly improved though, I support the idea. Personally I really liked “your key downgrades into a random dungeon”.

People looking to round out their rio score or rio profile page would still run the crappy/more difficult dungeons :man_shrugging:

I am a player too, and my quality of life would definitely not be improved.

Just for funsies, no one has ever been able to give an objective answer to this, which is fine, but it’s more a testament to how subjective this assertion is (speed run versus acceptable cadence).

It’s because the answer is “Anyone that goes faster than I want to is speedrunning.” but if they say it out loud we will see it for the self-absorption it is.

That’s the rub: What does one consider “little to no reason?”

I’m sure it was little or no reason in a key I left last night to the other two dps (both melee) who were ignoring the explosions and leaving it to the tank and myself to do them all. To me, it wasn’t so little and I peaced out.

I (healer) usually help out as much as I can on explosives when the group is melee heavy.

Imagine another player of yours leaving over a single explosion.

Not ignoring the explosion per se. But a SINGLE explosion.

That’s what I mean by “Little to no reason”. A run that that still can be completed ruined by a little thing such as that.

In fact, leaving M+ by itself has a huge array. To me, it’s as bad as leaving an ongoing League of Legends game. But that’s not a fair comparison.

Except there is no vote kick in mythic+. You’re at the whim of ONE person, the group leader.

It’s silly, and annoying, but a penalty doesn’t help anything. That’s really the only reason I am against it. If it accomplished anything then ok, but it doesn’t.

Honestly wish that raider io could track it … Pro tip though. Just auto ignore anyone as soon as they do. You’ll slowly wean out crappy people. Too bad you can’t ignore accounts.

If they implemented a punishment for leaving M+ I would intentionally join groups and leave.

Get gud scrub.

Oh no, I’m not in for the penalty either.

I was just asking people that just leave if it was necessary to leave the key unfinished.

I mean if the group was incompetent enough to waste your time, then sure. You can leave.

But there are times… where some little things puts them in their peeve makes them leave… Like there was one time I run a ToP with an overconfident tank. We wiped once and a hunter leaves.

Like… wut…? And then he whispered me to invite him again after everyone else leaves.

These things happen. People suck sometimes. I don’t think it warrants a penalty though.

Agreed. I genuinely don’t understand why this isn’t a thing.

Oh yeah for sure. I was doing a NW 10 last night and a warrior left after 1 wipe. We were pacing at a 2 chest and that had been the only hiccup. Just like, why???
