Payment issue using credit card and debit card

There was a payment issue using my card and i wanna ask if i buy battlenet balance card online, can i use it to purchase The war within expansion? I dont want to have a second refund issue on my new transaction using my card. thanks

If you can find a reputable site that sells codes, yes. We see too often lately that those transactions also end up reversed by one involved party and stalls things.

Yes, you can use Battle.net Balance to purchase the expansion.

Based on your other thread, I will caution you that buying the Balance from Blizzard would likely result in the same errors, if those errors are not corrected. You can purchase balance from another vendor (Amazon, physical cards in a local store, etc), if those options are available to you, but involving a third party brings in more risk.

Researched some sites and yeah too many shady ones with shady form of payments :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

was thinking of buying the balance cards online instead but too many shady sites and yeah if i have to use my card ill just buy the expansion directly since topping up my battlenet balance will have the same issue if theres a problem. And sadly amazon is not available for me and i dont think i have seen any physical cards for sell since my wotlk or cata times. thanks for the suggestion tho.

If you know someone in the USA you could ask them to buy a balnce card for you and send them the money for the code.

I don’t think so. Blizzard cracked down on fraud involving international transactions and currencies.

That would be a risky thing to attempt, and is not likely to work.

The person should follow Orlyia’s advice and try again with the card that has a matching country registered to it. It seems they will do that tomorrow as it is the middle of their night.

I tried to login and redo the purchase and my account is permanently closed and banned??? Can you help and explain what is happening?

My last purchase that went through and failed a day later was using a card that matched my account’s country. Albeit with a different name since it was my sister’s card as she is residing in that country and im not anymore. But to my understanding different names shouldnt be an issue if the issuing country is the same.

Im sorry i have been dealing with this for a week just trying to play a game. 2 GMs has asked me to redo the purchase too and now i cant even login my account to redo the purchase?. Either the GMs didnt really look into my account or what? I want to give blizzard my money and its so hard. I cant even get into live chat to contact them? can any blues help?

No. These forums are not an alternative to the ticket system through the Support Site. You need to put in a ticket.

That would probably be the issue. You kept using multiple different cards, in different names, with addresses that were not registered to this account. If you had used your original one, that would likely not have been suspect.

Put in an appeal so the matter can be reviewed again. I would recommend that once this is straightened out, that you update your info on the account. If you moved back in… looks around 2017, it should have been done then.

I did use my original saved card from my old payment method which i successfully bought bfa in 2019 but need to update the date as the card expired. Then i used my wife’s card. I guess that makes it suspicious.

And i did try to appeal but got this reply :

I put my reasons in the appeal but it is as if they didnt even bother to read it. This is just a misunderstanding by the system. They told me they considered this matter closed and would not look to enter into further discussion. If only they look at my previous ticket from the GM they would understand. Am i not allowed to explain for situation like this and get my account Perma banned? Thanks.

In your next appeal you can and should clearly explain everything. Details of the cards and so on. As much information as possible

I wonder if i have to send them my ID and bank statement for the cards to verify the account? Can i use my government issued ID instead of passport as I am not comfortable sending my passport online. And also If a redacted bank statement is fine since they only need to see the name and address on the statements are matched with the ones i filled during billing. I want to blank out some unnecessary stuff like transaction etc as i used my wife and a a family member card too and its personal.

The thing is I HAVE already appealed twice and got denied as you can see from my post above. They told me they would not discuss any further. I just need information if I must include my government Id and can i use redacted bank statement. Can you just help me with answering that? thanks

The thing is, Spankyy, I AM telling you to submit an appeal. you can either follow that advice or not, but I am not giving it simply because.

Has anyone asked you for your ID? Something we don’t do outside of extremely rare cases now. If not, then no.

Make sure you explain one or more of the credit cards is from your wife. You purchased the game in Singapore and now where you live and so on. Include all the facts.

There is usually plenty of space in those tickets, so my guess is you were extremely detailed, which is mostly unnecessary.
