Paying gold for dungeon runs

If you didn’t level your character yourself, you didn’t earn it. Paying someone to level you is not earning it, no matter how you got that gold.

If you worked for your money then yeah you literally did earn it? You put in the effort in one way or another. Sounds like you’re just mad you don’t like how the free market works and think anybody who works for their money should not be able to pay for advantages over you, the cheapskate.

That’s your prerogative, I’m not about to waste an hour for nothing when I don’t have much time to play daily anyways.
You’re quite literally demanding people help you for free because you do it for strangers. That’s not how the economy works.

I help people by tipping, giving them free potions/materials, or letting them tag along with what I’m already doing if they get something out of it.

I’m not about to completely waste my time and put others ahead of myself every day so I can get nowhere. You’re insane.

If a person worked and saved a bunch of money, and bought a new position at a different company, would that be ethical?

No one ever said you had to, and no one really cares if you do or not. Other people will pay a tank because they feel it’s good value for them and their time. Amazing how that works, different people make different choices.

If a guy who runs out of valid arguments makes a really bad false equivalency, will he keep arguing?

I’m not demanding people help me for free.

I just laugh and consider anyone demanding payment to pull their own weight in a group to be silly.

I’m not telling a raid tank he -has- to come tank my Stratholme dungeon for free.

But if he demands payment to tank it when I’m trying to find a tank, I’ll laugh at him and tell him to go jump in a lake.

No answer?

And I will still consider the entire act silly, and continue on my way.

No, he’s offering you a choice. How do you not understand this by now?
I swear, you’re trolling at this point.

Wow, you’re actually rude af. If I saw you insulting people like this for no reason you’d earn the ignore list.

Someone offering to help you if you help them, and you tell them to go kill themself. Holy s**t…

So continue on your way and stop making stupid replies here. We get it, you don’t like the idea. Other people do, good for them and good for you.

If you fund an alt being power leveled then you obviously have a main and already beat the content legit? How exactly is this the same as buying a high up position at a company? Plus on top of that, yes, your nonsense example literally does apply in real life. It’s called being a majority shareholder.

That… is not what jump in a lake means? Seriously? You cannot be arguing that in good faith.

Jump in a lake: go (and) jump in the lake . informal. a rude way of telling someone to go away and stop annoying you: He just wouldn’t leave me alone, so finally I told him to go jump in the lake .

Quick google search man. I didn’t tell them to jump off a bridge… the heck man.

So just a question. I work a full time job, have a special needs daughter and a wife to help out, a house to maintain etc. I’m lucky if I get to play 2 hours a night. Is it bad if I shell out a few gold to get a tank/healer to join my group rather than wait 2 hours and then be able to play? I like playing non meta specs so getting into a group is not easy.

Basically the same thing as go die in a hole, just a really PG-13 way of saying it.
That saying is a knee-jerk response to someone who’s pissed you off. It’s got the same intent behind it.

No it’s not… it literally just means, go away and leave me alone.

Like holy cow man.

You literally just assumed what a saying meant, despite it not meaning that at all, and tried to accuse me of telling people to do bad things.

That’s ridiculous.

Also, to address your original point in that post. No, I do not consider someone demanding they be paid or be given special privileges as a “You do me a favor I do you a favor” type of situation.

If you reach out to me, demanding payment to tank a group, I will laugh at you and tell you to go away.

Not just being a shareholder, buying a position in the company that you have no experience performing.

This was one of the complaints about Pay to Win when it was a rampant issue years ago. The argument is that you learn your class as you level. You learn how to perform the role. Would you enjoy raiding with someone who paid to get leveled, and potentially paid to get geared if they go that step farther?

That is the slippery slope of paying for these things. You end up with someone playing with a character they don’t know how to use.

Well again your argument falls apart because if you grinded your money on a main it means you likely already did beat the content at some point or another. Sooooo… you do have experience…

I apologize if this sounds harsh, but I mean this kindly. This game is a huge time sink. If your life has such demanding things going on, this may not be the best game for you to have chosen to play.

lol, you can simply grind money without raiding. Shoot, someone can just buy gold from a seller with real money.

My argument isn’t falling apart, your just not thinking about the big picture.
