Pay your employees liveable wages, Blizzard

Pretty much. That line is as useful as saying, “I told you so.”

No surprise that all this is coming out now. ActiBlizz is reporting Q2 earnings Soon. As in tomorrow Soon.

My opinion is it’s tough to live on what they are being paid in that part of California. On the other hand, ActiBlizz could do an Elon and move more work to * cough * Texas.

The CEO gets compensated that much because that’s what the shareholders agree too. If they didn’t agree to that, there’d be a new CEO.

ATVI is at an all time high right now. So naturally they’re going to reward their person with that much money. Also he’s most likely get that much in stock options, which is high right now due to the share price being at $84.

So, this is done because the largest shareholder are all financial institutions such as Vanguard and Blackrock, which have zero incentive of changing the CEO again, because the they’re at an all time high.

I do agree though that their employees should be paid more since they’re seeing record stock prices and that is due to all people involved in the company.

I mean, there’s rumblings of that happening, according to this article

Military, learning a trade, getting hired at an on site training job. If you aren’t disabled or have a mental health issue, you have plenty of ways to improve your skills.

In my opinion it should be illegal for CEOs to make anything above double its employees.

You are aware that all these “socialist” EU countries have a free market yes?

One of my friends working at Google spends triple my rate with respect to rent. But he makes triple my salary.

Also, we’re not allowed to look at his laptop’s screen when visiting, I just assume they can enforce that policy because it’s Google, in Google territory… I just assume that webcam is always on.

It was my dream to work in blizzard as quest designer. But the way have been acting in recent years, I am like “No thanks”

In those countries in the EU, they know and admit they are socialist. In the U.S., the people don’t. Weirdly, enough people go along with the fiction that business in the U.S. is all about free trade and competition even as the goal of most businesses is to eliminate the competition by hiring hordes of lobbyists. Well, on second thought, maybe it isn’t so weird. Just look at the ratings for Fox News. lol

Meanwhile you have the fearmongering left media.

I just think a lot of people in this country still have this weird complex where socialism is the work of the devil or something, it’s pretty weird. We americans and pretty weird, and dumb, and many other things.

People actually watch american news networks still? I feel sorry for the sad souls actually getting their sources from CNN, Fox news and the like.

Ah yes, socialism for the rich, rugged capitalism for the poor. Just ignore the government continually bailing out corporations and lowering their taxes, it’s the poor single mom on welfare that’s the problem.

You people keep saying Socialism dont work, but the only examples you have are of countries the US is using its vast power to collapse their economies with sanctions and blockades.

No one can possible earn 20 million a year, its not humanly possible.

Considering Blizzard stock price is higher than it has been in the last five years and has had a major rebound over the year+, their COE is doing something right. Lets be honest a second, everyone thinks they should be paid more than they actually are. Without knowing the exact details, we really don’t have room to judge the situation. If the employees are that unhappy, there are always other companies they can work for. No one has them chained to their desks.

Gotta say, there might be something wrong with you if you don’t envy billionaires, since this country worships the dollar

But anyway, I’m not taking a side in this debate, just saying.

Meanwhile people expect free ambulance rides.

Well um…

I don’t envy them lol. The most I really would want is to be a millionaire, and to just have enough wealth to be able to assure that my loved ones are guaranteed a fruitful life. I don’t even know what I would really buy with that much money. And what goals would I even have to reach? Seems kinda boring to me, but that’s just me I guess.

More or less, you do agree.
