Why would I spend $ to pay homage to Medivh for items that really donât look very much like the items that he wears?

blizzard, I defended you the other day with the trading post options being bad because they are just fun, optional free stuff⌠but this is pathetic. That set is mega bland and ugly - in 2023 when every game everywhere (even mobile games) have super cool armor this is just not acceptable. You should be leading the pack, not stuck in the early 2000s. And to charge for it? At all? What is going on with yall? Itâs like for every win you need to even it out with a giant, fat L.
You guys really need to pick up this thing called âattention spanâ and read the whole article.
It literally says itâll be eligible in the Trade Post within the next few months. Holy moly.

You can do exactly that 
They are trying out a marketing offer that lets you buy it now for real money/Bnet Balance OR wait for it to show up on the Trading Post for free (as part of your monthly sub).
I am on a fixed income with moths in my wallet, so I will wait.
Some people have asked for the option to also buy some of the Trading Post items, so I guess this is an attempt to see if there is a balance they can come up with between a cash/balance option and the in-game only free option.

They really really needed a better outfit to match the light silvery grey feathers with. It IS pretty, and the staff is very iconic. Certainly a stand out item. There have to be better armors they could have selected though to show it off!

Youâre just being milked, theres no benefit to you as the consumer to pay for content whether or not it is âahead of it being freeâ on a system that is already a predatory mobile login reward type.

Yes, you pay for the option to have it NOW vs waiting. A very common trade off in marketing products for thousands of years.
Pay now, or more now, to get it immediately. If you are ok with waiting you can get it free (or on sale for some things).
This is not earth shattering or new. This is also interesting to see if people will decide to buy now, or wait for later.
Trying to paint it as something uniquely abusive of the players to rip them off is⌠kind of a stretch I think.
There is a benefit for the people who want it now. I donât see anything predatory about it though. There is no game power or other reward that makes it something people feel they have to buy. It is purely cosmetic. They are 100% clear and open about the terms of it.
People know exactly what it is, how much it costs, and how they can get it for free later.
