Pathfinder is getting ridiculous

I don’t really see the problem, no. I don’t mind Pathfinder, because it gives me a goal, and my ADHD brain likes having a goal that I can point to.

As you said, we all play the game in different ways. I was just pointing out that you don’t need Pathfinder to fly in game this expac.

On the other hand, I’m just glad that Pathfinder this time doesn’t require Loremaster and all the optional storylines.

I do the WQs, i do dreamsurges, i do time rifts

So call me a filthy casual who touches grass, I still play the game

So you’re doing everything required to get the rep

The same thing I did to get the rep

Guess we’re both filthy casuals

Looks at your character*

Don’t call yourself a filthy casual. Item level 444 and a m+2520. That’s not a filthy casual.

I’m talking about rep, I have 0 idea why you’re talking about gear or other things

You don’t get rep doing raids and mythics lol

You called yourself a filthy casual for doing world content, the same world content I did to get my reps up

A filthy casual is a player who plays the game but does it casually in all aspects of the game

The ones who grind rep because they have to, but don’t enjoy it

You won’t be seeing us doing mythic anything

Mythic anything is still entirely irrelevant to this conversation

You just have to do world quests, and that one weekly thing to get like 500 rep in every faction

It’s pretty basic gameplay, stop talking about “hard core” stuff cuz it’s not used to unlocking flying

TBC, Wrath Cata, and MoP did it right.

Spend some easily achievable gold on flying at level cap.

I don’t understand why the devs got so cranky about it. It was an easy amount of gold to get (you got most of it just from the quests you did to level up. And it meant people were on the ground for some amount of time.

What does Mythic have to do with anything with Renown earning or Pathfinder?

Explain to me why “unlocking” flying is good now but wasn’t added when flying was introduced???

The renoun is so garbage. I’ve never been so uninterested in anything in the game before. I’m not emotionally invested in any of the reputations since they gated the storyline behind it. Made me check out.

It doesn’t.

We weren’t really talking about flying then.

He just went on a rant that people don’t play the game if they don’t play like him

I then said people have different playstyles and he dismissed that and continued as above

I mean, you’re just being either dumb or blatantly ignorant.

The achiev is basically " explore and do al quests from all maps"

And that’s it. I dont really see the point of your complaint

I can tell I need some more coffee… because when I read that, my first thought was “Why is Tovi putting rollers on her cat? And did she manage to do it without having the cat become homicidal?”

(lol)

Alright, let me spin you a yarn around the old days

Back when TBC first hit, and flying was announced it was a very expensive thing to buy

Sure, most people eventually managed to get the 800 to buy super slow flying, but the initial 5000 gold for fast flying was a pipe dream to many

It wasn’t like the release where everyone has gold cap on 17 characters through very legit means, people would grind level 60 ogres for 10 gold an hour and think it was great cash

So then wotlk came out and flying was needed for the end game, hence the 1k price tag you would get naturally through leveling

Then Cata was built around flying, hence the super cheap price tag

Then the WoD/Legion/BFA/SL came out and flying wasn’t needed at all, it was more of an after though, so they added requirements to get it instead of just letting people buy it as a luxury again like 280% flying

So guess we could go back to just buying the flight to the expansion, but it should be priced appropriately as a luxury again so like what 500k+ range for DF flying?

Found the problem.

Comparing apples and pears.

Yeah, 5000g was an achievement, but it also wasn’t super hard to do. I don’t remember the gold grind being that awful.

Enough that I was glad it was done, but not enough that it was a struggle bus. Was a long time ago but I feel like it only took a week or two.

I can understand what you’re saying(I was there) but there have always been good ways to make gold and back then was no different, people were just very new to mmos and had awful internet.

What you’re saying isn’t applicable in this day and age and classic proves my point. Not only that, but that FACT that they introduced pathfinder as subs decline is telling that this was a decision driven by PROFIT, not game dev.

Haha! I do that too.

The thread that was titled “Customize your Blood Elf and New Druid Forms” and I read it as “Customize your Blood Elf with new Druid Forms” or something like that.

I’m out of likes so :blue_heart: for you!
