Ion? Is that you?

Lobbying to remove anything from the game is just a bad take. So you don’t use it, good for you! You can scream around the sky’s and it won’t affect me in the slightest. Why can’t you use that attitude towards me using steady flight?

Don’t get me wrong, I happen to like dragon flight, quite thrilling to see just how fast I can get to my destination as low as I can possibly fly. Or just circle around an area as long as possible without dropping. I’ve gotten quite good at this flight style.

However, I prefer steady when questing and gathering. I am also quite amused how I’m actually faster gathering than the others trying to keep up, overshooting the target, missing the ledge, and eventually running out of vigor and standing there, it’s hilarious.

It’s not a matter of which is best or get good. It’s the principle of locking one form behind pathfinder instead of both. The purpose of pathfinder was to keep us all on the ground at the start. It has no place in today’s Warcraft.

And yes, this does have a negative experience for those with disabilities. So why keep pathfinder in the game at all? Just give us all both from now on and end this pointless debacle.

This game caters too much to disabled players.

When your game has a 1 button macro that plays your entire class then you’ve gone too far.

It’s not worth making the game worse just so a small handful of people can play it.

If you want to make WoW playable for disabled players than they should slow the game down and make rotations simpler.

You can’t even click on spells anymore in modern WoW. The GCD is too fast. My one armed buddy can’t even play modern WoW. He only plays classic.

Fact is even if it was ONE person you’d THINK theyd be capable of BASIC HUMAN COMPASSION…but clearly not.
Clearly theyd rather mock, insult and ridicule instead.

Reprehensible behavior.

The part thats annoying is this is ENTIRELY IONS fault for setting up this environment in the first place whereby MOST of us have flight without Pathfinder but those who have disabilities and other issues have to work to get the accessbility version of flight.

As I said somewhere in here…they give the able bodied person a car for free, then make the disabled person work to get their wheelchair.

ION created this environment and now trolls are getting their sick kicks in here exploiting it

…and there you have it folks…the ignored one has spoken. lmao.

You disabled sorts…Ion is catering to you WAY too much according to the trolls in here by simply letting you use flight that has been in this game for what…a decade or more? lmao

THIS is why these folks should have their ‘right’ to speak their minds revoked…they are a real threat to vulnerable populations.

I like how whenever I say this nobody even addresses this fact that his game literally has such advanced Macros that you can map your entire class to a single button…

YOU’VE GONE TOO FAR!!!

You are right in criticizing some special forms of addons and macros. Some of them heavily hurt the game. But throwing steady flight into the same category just isn’t right.

I will forever side with Ion and the anti flyer boys.

I think the only reason we have flying at the start of the expansion now is because blizzard stopped giving a crap about the overworld.

Static flying was in the game in WoD? Legion? BFA?

Did you forget about Cold Weather flying and whatever the Pandarian equivalent was? Did you forget that flying used to have to be EARNED. And wasn’t automatically given to every single player.

Stop rewriting history. Flying was something that was DESIGNED to be inaccessible for most of it’s life.

They lost me over it I have skipped several expansions over it they have just run me off. I returned long enough to level my classic toons and now waiting for next classic version of the game. I am not buying TWW because they locked regular flying behind it. Was so simple have it unlocked from the beginning would have baught the expansion and had a ball, but I can’t enjoy it with Dragon flying I just don’t like it!

You’re such a vile person.

You’re so delusional you think that anybody NOT ruining their own game to bend over backwards to every possible disability is somehow promoting the hunting and genocide of disabled people.

That’s literally what you think.

Nah man. flying just hurts the game. Disabled people don’t need WoW. sorry but it’s true. They can live without it.

its a really good expansion so far…and while I fully understand and agree with your decision…it really is worth it this time…PF is very short and hopefully will just be removed next time.

You wont be disappointed if you do decide to buy and just do the PF run.
Very annoying Ion has to make himself a villian every time somehow, though.

One hundred thousand percent wrong.

Where are the overworld dungeons in DF and TWW?

Where are they?

Oh that’s right. They don’t exist. Thanks to flying.

So, you think hitting 70, having the gold to buy flying and a mount, is EARNED and DESIGNED to be inaccessible?

Tell us all you joined in legion.

I’d be totally okay with flying being available at max level for gold (look at this fabulous gold sink, Blizzard!) like it has been prior to WoD. EVERY form of flying, not just one.

By that logic Cataclysm and DF kicked flying off at the start. While Cata was only a favorite to a handful of people, there was a fairly decent reception to and playerbase for DF. It was so popular, even the Dracthyr themselves could fly without a mount much like a Druid, but without all that pesky shapeshifting.

I do miss flight being a max level event for gold. Meant no Pathfinder. So if they ever decide to rip out PF and add it back for gold at level cap, I’d be in. And yes, there were specialty types of flight in Wrath and MoP, and neither were really a difficulty since you essentially still got both at cap, and were naturally unlocked simply by leveling, not even exploring or questing specifically.

Where we will disagree, is the anti-flight agenda. I’ve had flying since TBC, and in every expac since, and farmed HUNDREDs of flying mounts. So if they ever decide to pull another “no flying” moment like they did in WoD, they will have another WoD on their hands, and we all remember how sad WoD was even compared to Cataclysm. No flying? No thanks. I like my casual travel.

“OMG…FLYING HURTS THE GAME”
“OMG…FLYING HAS ALWAYS COME LATER”

(jumps on his skyriding mount DAY ONE for two expansions in a row…expects his inane rants to be taken seriously, lmao)

Tell me that you joined in wotlk…

Because hitting max level in 2007 was actually pretty time consuming, most people didn’t do it. Let alone have the gold to buy flying.
