I am a returning player so yeah I can speak for myself. For other players that will return soon or near/at launch of 10.2 they will also offer feedback in this thread. Which you seem like you are not interested in doing so far.

Let me add that TBC flying is very relaxing and right now the game needs more of that in retail. That is why time gating even more with PF achieve doesn’t make sense even for those that do not like TBC flying.
And many that do prefer TBC flying and DR can see that PF is really not a good “compromise” but rather very punitive.

I have given my feed back more than once. I don’t believe one way or the other that we see a mass exit of players over pathfinder. I expected pathfinder all along as a catch for old school flight. I don’t see the real issue for the requirement thus far for pathfinder for they are the shortest and easiest list to date in the history of pathfinder. I will agree 100% that people with real disabilities, I feel really sorry for and I hope that for many of them that Blizzards fixes they have said they will put into dragonriding will help a majority of them. I know in life having a partner that I have to take care of because arthritis has stole their ability of them taking care of themselves. That life can be very cruel when it comes to having a disability and robing you of things you once enjoyed. But that is life, we all face it one day.

But this pathfinder for this expansion is a big redacted YOU to the playerbase from the Development team and higher ups
Pathfinder was a compromise because they wanted to take out flying since Warlords…pathfinder for the most part consisted of exploring the lands of new xpac and doing the storyline. They wanted the players to see the lands of the new xpac on the ground…not a fan of it but it is what it is…
So having slow flight now behind anything when we can fly since the very beginning of expansion just reeks of childish redacted from the development team

From my view it feels like they want to push those players away from the game which is real shame because they add to our vibrant and diverse communities.
We need more players with different views and background instead of the cookie cutter go go mentality that is taking over retail.

It was the same way 4 to 5 expansions ago when folks said the same thing. It didn’t change then until two expansions later when it was no longer required. It won’t change now either

Actually in legion they got rid of some of the stuff you had to get from the PTR to live the day before it went live

But we still had to actually do Pathfinder regardless of what the requirements were to fly there.
This PF seems easy compared to some of the others.

They could drop the renown. That’s the part I detest. Questing I don’t mind except in ZC and Exploration is all done except the Emerald Dream.
I have all the quests done for both Loremaster and ZC but I hate going there just to farm renown.
