The same stuff that would trigger that, has been used in raids for many years. I can think of three fights right now. And no. I won’t see your earlier post. Are there a few that would have difficulties? Sure. Extreme cases. But dragon riding is used as an excuse to play the victim card, while those of us that actually have disabilities watch people cry over literally nothing. Tbh, I don’t care if you respond, I’m not gonna read it anymore
This sounds a lot like “use a friend that has dragonriding”…
Which you frowned upon?
Cool. Doesn’t negate the fact that people have issue with it.
lol.
I have migraine related vertigo. It only hits every so often.
Wouldnt you know that on release day…the one day I needed to not have vertigo, that was the day I did.
Guess how much fun I had getting the very highest dragon glyph? lmao.
took me over an hour to get that one because I was ready to puke every time I shot up to get it, lol
I cant imagine dealing with that sort of thing on a daily basis, but some do
Not everyone feels Dragonriding is “better.” (For the record, I agree with you. I believe it IS better and hope it goes world wide). Nevertheless, “regular” flying has been locked behind Pathfinder since WoD. So Blizzard is doing what they have BEEN doing since then with flying. OP wants them to change it because he knows “people” who have Dragonriding-specific disabilities that are preventing them from enjoying the game. In fact, their disability is so expansion-oriented that they are able to play every other aspect of every other expansion except THIS one!
Games are rarely fair in that way though. They could be fair-er, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Pathfinder is achievable without DR-gofast, stick to DR-slow, use the in game compensations; or stick to flight points and ground mounts. Its entirely doable to get to renown 15 by the time 10.2 rolls around. Even then none of us will get sky swimming immediately, there’s a new faction added that we all have to start with from 0, and I’m absolutely certain it’ll be time-gated like many before.
Its also unfair to suggest that everyone that’s disagreeing with the proposition of free sky swimming is somehow baiting.
That highest point took me a week, with several nauseating attempts. I too have migraines (optic migraines) which can come on at any time.
False. I don’t have issues in raids or dungeons. There is no 1200% speed, angles, etc.
Then your disrespect and ignorance is noted and you deserve zero time.
In other words, you’re here just to argue nonsensically.
Yes. I’m one of them. But I’m lucky. My neurological issues aren’t as bad. It took me the entirety of beta and part of live to learn dragonriding and be able to do it moderately. But those mechanics are not the same as gameplay on the ground nor slower flying.
So you simply want to be another who refuses to understand how different disabilities work.
So much of this ignorance… it’s truly sad.
In my opinion, we should stop attacking each other no matter how you feel about it.
We don’t make policy and bickering amongst each other because we want others to see things our way is a fool’s errand.
The way I see that there are three choices.
- advocate and wait for an answer
- Advocate and preemptively do pathfinder.
- Advocate and quit.
But you’re not going to get Unanimous consensus among the player base.
I definitely sympathize. Migraines can be pretty horrible.
bickering amongst each other because we want others to see things our way is a fool’s errand.
I just want people to stop being ignorant and understand that different disabilities work in different ways. Just because some people can do some things in game, doesn’t mean they can do to hers, depending on the disability.
Now, do I think it’s nonsensical to argue to keep Pathfinder? Yes. But if they don’t agree, it’s whatever. It’s the “if you can’t dragonride you can’t play any of the game” that’s absolutely misinformation.
If they didn’t care before, a stranger on the internet is probably not going to change their mind.
Stranger things have happened but… even if people understand that they may not see this as a big deal. I understand it and I don’t think it’s a big deal because there are other options. They’re not necessarily fun… But flight paths will get you to where you need to go for pathfinder
Why are so many pro-Dragonrider players so against both coexisting, without any hoops to jump through, they way it should have been from day one. There is no reason other than they believe their way is the only correct way. So many want to control how others enjoy the game, it’s quite sad actually.
So you simply want to be another who refuses to understand how different disabilities work.
Im less concerned that they dont understand and far more concerned about the apathy…and even more than that.
I can almost deal with them being apathetic…but to actually take the time to pointlessly come into a topic that as NO bearing on their lives or their games whatsoever just to insult, berate, belittle and demean those who ARE having disability issues is just as disgusting and disturbing as it gets.
But dragon riding is used as an excuse to play the victim card
Doctor Buzzchord has made his medical diagnosis

Freud would have a field day in threads like this. lol
The vast majority of Dragonflight is playable without dragonriding and when dragonriding is required, it’s “flap once or twice to get up a mountain.” Not “fly across the zone and land with precision” or anything.
The longest dragonriding requirement I can think of is the tutorial, which people already made it past if they’re max level.
You don’t need dragonriding to earn renown or do events and you can skip the few world quests that are based on dragonriding.
Everything takes longer using flight paths and ground mounts, but you can do it. You don’t need a friend to ferry you around constantly, the game’s not unplayable.
Also can we stop talking like all disabled people can’t dragonride? That’s a small subset of certain disabilities, not “disabled people” writ large.
I’m gonna use both.
DR for distance
Normal flying for casually flying around picking flowers
Everything takes longer using flight paths and ground mounts, but you can do it.
You absolutely can, and it takes forever.
I’d prefer an alternate method.
Cant wait till next raid LFR comes, where there will be dragon riding in the raid… the outrage from these folks is gonna peak
