I don’t disagree but to be fair. If people weren’t turned off and left because of dragon riding. I don’t know why they would leave now with the light at the end of the tunnel.
Tempest Keep/Mechanar, et al, says hi. All the way back to BC, there was stuff in game that required flight to access. It was bought with just gold, but gold was a bit more involved in acquiring at the time.

Well, you said “we can already fly” as a reason for not requiring pathfinder. I was pointing out the potential equivocation therein.
Stating the Dragonriding is a superior option is an opinion that also seems to not be a prevailing aspect of the arguments being made for regular flight as well. People often argue that Flight is superior due to infinite stamina, hovering, and “auto-running”.

You mean dungeons you could get summoned into? How is that remotely comparable to MSQ??
It was the rationale for questioning pathfinder yes. Mixed in with the fact that it is arguably inferior and slower.
I agree that traditionally this has been the road. But I think it’s worth acknowledging that it was also the only road and now it’s not.
They are similar situations but not the same. I question the logic that’s all

Not everyone can do everything. People with limitations may not be able to enjoy EVERY aspect of Wow. It is a fact of life.
To expect Blizzard to design their game to accommodate EVERYONE is delusional. Just TRY to imagine the level of complexity that would bring to designing and producing a game like that.

It’s also unfair to the people who aren’t disabled.
Like, for me, If too much stimuli/information floods my brain too quickly, then sensory overload happens; but I can’t expect Blizzard or any game dev company to deliberately change the visuals in a game where there are other players just because of that.
However, do I think regular flying should be locked behind Pathfinder? No, I think Pathfinder is a stupid thing that Ion & the rest of the dev team need to get out of their heads.
As for Dragonriding, I think there should be options to help with things like motion sickness but the fact of the matter is that there isn’t a way that Blizzard can include enough options so every single person with a disability can play the game, it’s just not possible nor is it viable from a business standpoint.
Do you remember the wod flight removal debacle? How flight was not in the current expansion, while Blizzard kept telling players they hadn’t made up their minds yet whether to bring it back? Then finally they announced in a interview on an outside website on the Friday before a holiday that they had never had any plans to bring flight back. Players realized they’d been lied to strung along only to keep them paying for a sub, hanging on and hoping for flight to come back.
So many players left that within 2 weeks level 1 forum alts were asking players “how would it be if…?”, describing pathfinder.
Yes, people who have been waiting and feel they’ve been scammed do leave.

There was no comparison. There was no indication ever that there wouldn’t be the usual strings attached to flight. The excuses are just that…excuses.
This is no different than any other time since PF was put in. It is no different that previous expansions where people who completed PF had flying and those who hadn’t, didn’t.
They gave us flying right from the start, people complain. They are giving us regular flight soon, people complain. Either we do PF, or we don’t fly. It’s as simple as that.

Except in this instance, we have been told We would be getting regular flying at some point. We were never given the details of when or how.
Now it’s tentative because it’s still p t r. While subject to change We definitely know when… And we have a small grasp on how… People should start working on it now.
Or quit. that’s your prerogative.

Though with the perpetual hate in his direction over pathfinder I find that hard to believe.
he knows exactly what the issue is here…every single one of them baiting in here for reaction knows.
Dragonriding was had in an hour of questing first day of release.
Normal flight has waited months and now there is SIX groups to grind renown for to get the lesser mode of flight…and for players who may have quit and waited for flight thinking Ion wouldnt possibly pull an Ion again.
Every one baiting in this thread knows exactly what the issue is here.

Blocked? Cool! Do I get achievement points for that? Is it a rep bonus when you make a point so concise that the OP can’t refute it and instead of admitting it, they block you? Maybe is could be its own in-game currency!
To be fair, that doesn’t mean everybody has to feel the same way or even care… It’s not necessarily baiting but a disagreement about the severity of the problem.
