Pathfinder? Again? Lession not learned

Yet I didn’t say “get over it” to any disabled person.

I am not aware of any disabled person I talked to at all in this thread. I pushed back against the idea that it is impossible to get pathfinder.

So let us clarify. Do you feel it is impossible to get pathfinder?

only if your satisfied with your dragon, and there should not be REQUIRED things to do just to fly the old way, since you missed the point…

There has been since WoD, something REQUIRED to do in order to access sky swimming. I don’t really LIKE pathfinder being required, but its not unreasonably challenging, even if restricted to flight points and ground mounts.

I can already fly so I don’t care about Pathfinder this time

Lol what an odd thing to say.

Video games are an inconsequential and optional hobby.
Everyone wants to be treated the same and scream “equality” until they don’t get special attention anymore.

No I don’t think that just because you have a disability, whatever you decide that is for you, that things besides basic human rights and living necessities should be catered to you.

This is life. Life caters to no one, especially those fuming at their computer screens.

I mean having a different opinion from you might make you think i’m being mean.

I assure you i’m being as forthright and honest as I can without ridiculing people.

I feel how I feel and i’m not ashamed of it.

And come 5 months, no one will care about all this.

Should add that the majority of my dragon riding consists of pressing Skyward Ascent 6 times, point the dragon’s nose in the direction I want to go, and then gliding to the destination. Occassionally, I will use Skyward Ascent during this process.

I only use “Surge Forward” when getting my daily dragon race purse. Can’t do all the races in a single day or even do them all every week. It is just too much.

Disagree. Since wrath, the devs have had to make concessions and compromises on nearly every design decision to attempt to appease every facet of the community. It was supposed to make the game bigger or better. It has failed.

It needs to stop.

The exact same was said when normal flying came out. “Now people have to fly everywhere and people with disabilities can’t play the game”. If their disability is that bad, how do they play the game at all? If dragon riding messes with them that bad, they can’t raid for many many reasons, would heavily struggle in PvP.

The argument was, pathfinder gave flight where none existed. Now we go through a process to get a worse version for most, better for select few… is this the same? Arguably no except you are doing a process to swim fly again. Is it warranted? Arguably no… it is worse. Df was designed for flight day one.

It is similar. Not the same

Are you as medical professional Dr. Buzzchord? Should I have SSI forward my file to you so you can DOUBLE CHECK that I’m a disabled? In fact everyone that’s disabled should have to submit their entire medical history to Dr. Buzzchord just to make sure we are actually disabled

Ableist

(also if you are just itching for a reply and don’t get one, its because this thread is a really great place to sweep up all the people who don’t see Disabled people as equal, under the ignore rug for good)

No, it’s just a band wagon for the professionally offended to jump on. What about dragon riding makes it where pressing two keys to fly is impossible? Is it a color thing? Is it speed?

I honestly think all these people crying disability on the forums don’t really have said disability. I kinda wondered at first but if you can hit buttons well enough to even play this game open world you can spam the ascent button a few times then just sit there while your dragon glides back down. The world is a big place so I’m sure there are those with disabilities that just sit and complain but the majority of disabled people I know are some of the most adaptive people I have ever met and don’t let whatever they have slow them down. Maybe Blizz can run a winds event to buff rep gain when they release the pathfinder to help people get to 15.

Then they should make all flying mount in cash shop able to use dragon raiding or refund the charge to people who bought store mounts because you can’t use it for its intending purpose (to fly).

I’ve always enjoyed pathfinder as a means of unlocking flight. Seems like a pretty straightforward and logical progression to explore before you ignore.

You’re life must be incredibly hard, not from your claimed disability, but from that mindset.

Professionally offended indeed.

The fact is, they’re putting in a solution to rectify any complaints about ability through pathfinder. There are flight paths and other avenues to get pathfinder.

Does it matter if theyre telling the truth or not? it’s a little facetious to say that those individuals can’t still unlock it.

Are those hoops necessary? I don’t believe so. But I also don’t think theyre 100% unreasonable

having a disability doesn’t entitle you to anything in a video game.

Really? Maybe in past expansions where we did not have flight day one sure.

But to require it now, when we will still have DR day one of the 10.2 zone, i see ZERO need for pathfinder. It is truly a unnesisary burden to put on players that can not dragon ride well, disabled or not.

Actually, i look at it as one big troll by Ion, a childish troll against a pretty big chunk of the player base that want to use some of their 400+ mounts.
