Patch notes out

It was sort of a thing for a while when aff had curse ticks extend it or something

So you’d limp away from an aff in a bg and just have a 20 second slow still on you as it got refreshed

Ya its been awhile i just remember it was rough. Since refreshing corruption put it back at full duration and you waddled everywhere entire game

People here will complain regardless. In TWW when Ele Sham was looking to be the meta caster (think it was s2 maybe? cant remember) people were instantly crying about it here. People are stuck in a never ending cycle of complaining about whats meta unless it is their spec and then you will see them valiantly defending the meta as soon as its their spec. Thats just what happens. Obviously mage/ww/rogue/mw are overtuned right now, but whatever takes over after that will likely be complained about the same. Its just annoying that mage/rogue are always at the top as if they can’t balance mobility/cc and damage for these two classes.

ele was op for a week when they did a quick rework on ascendance and then blizzard nerfed it to the ground because reasons

What’s with the 5% nerf to Pres Evokers?

I haven’t don’t anything even remotely serious yet this xpac just busy leveling my army of toons but where are they over performing? Just raid related? I leveled my first pres in dungeons and it pumped for leveling dungeons but wasn’t the easiest healer I leveled that way by far

Got some time to watch the AWC last night. Boring. Every go… Cocoon. No go? Still Cocoon. Just using it off CD to conserve mana… maybe? Regardless, it just completely kills any momentum. It might as well be an immunity. Instead of just nerfing it, they should give it a hard counter.

Also, the lack of CC for some comps is pretty meh. Games going to 9-10 minutes with both teams humping pillars and just burning down the clock until the next go. So like a mix of either not being able to stay on target and/or not having damage outside of CDs to create meaningful pressure. Lots of games of people trying to bait someone out of position because, well, there was NOTHING else todo.

Pretty boring to watch.

I can’t recall which match it was, but I think it was rmmw vs wwmmw… one of the teams used cds on the mage and the MW cocooned… themselves. There was SO LITTLE pressure on the mage, that MW just pre-cocooned any chance for a swap.

The crowd went mild.

The DR changes did so much damage to the game.

Yea. It’s… odd. It was a buff to random garbage CC, which the changes were supposed to fix. Instead it made the situation worse. With slop CC being tossed out, your chances of hitting a DR are now significantly lower. So more full duration CC is landing. This is mostly problematic in bgs. In arena, this was just a buff to comps that already had good coordination with CC. Nothing like shaving off 2 seconds off DR to make setups quicker.

But for everything else, it was just a nerf. I’m probably a tad biased, but watching the hunter play last night was almost depressing. I was very surprised to see all 3 specs in a match, but very little was going on. Supatease even commented how it was better for the MW to go for Para than for the hunter to go for trap. Than it’s just hunter’s running around at near max range and doing nothing.

That these matches are going to incredibly long really points to some serious issues. I get MW is a big piece of that, but the lack of pressure outside of goes and how little value there was to CC during some goes, what a downgrade.

That and their is so much power in offensive CDs now that every spec was going full vers stack to live through offensive CDs.

This is probably the worst its been regarding damage outside of cds vs while using cds

Yea. Honestly, it’s bad for PvE as well. Playing enhance in M+ can be annoying. There is massive difference in my damage from pull to pull if CDs line up properly. So much so that I might as well sit on damage if we’re only hitting 2-3 targets. While having CDs that feel impactful can be fun, not having meaningful damage outside of that sucks.

I haven’t done a ton of shuffles yet, but I have had multiple matches where I’ll delete someone in the first 2-3 seconds. If no one dies, I can practically just afk until damage is up again. If we are 3-4 minutes into a match and someone doesn’t die during my go, I just assume it’s a loss.

I’d love to see Holy Priest rise to the tip. How we feeling about a 20% buff across the board to most spells?

Our HPS is fine

the prune of ray and swap is certainly felt tho

Did they ever say why they removed Void Shift? I’d like that back.

Couldn’t tell yeah but I would say the more annoying aspect to their prunes is that they semi gut spells, mainly pvp talents, and then leave them in as borderline non functional from their original design (greater heal I’m looking at you )

MW will still be better. It just has more. More cc, mobility, damage, external defensives, mana. Unless Holy can somehow turn into Usain Bolt and gain abilities and external defensives I don’t see it ever competing with a class that didn’t get pruned at all.

Basically this. Hpriest is competitive just not MW competitive

They nerf their crit chance during zenith which is indeed a nerf to WW, because in case you haven’t realized, their burst is mainly coming from their crits which damage is 20% higher based on their apex talents.

Also is the issue of WW/Mage the Mage and not the WW. Mage is basically part of any successful team. You can easily replace the WW with a Rogue or Feral and get a comp that is equally strong or even stronger, but can you replace the Mage and get an equally strong comp?

So if they want to fix things, they need to focus onto Mage!
