I agree. The point was that it was pretty easy to get rep if you actually tried. Thus, I capped all of them on January 17th without a lot of effort, while others who actually tried got it much faster.
And now, with the 10% rep bonus, Forbidden reach quests, and additional farming methods that they have added, it’s even easier.
Not sure how I did it then. Was definitely higher than 7 when I finished the campaign… Wasn’t even counting my Paladin as she is 17 after doing campaign and turning in one of the items each week for the Loamm weekly.
Could be through Researchers and got lucky with Sniffseeking rep tokens along the way? Not sure. I have all of the side quests and main questline done. I’m almost to 8, but not quite. I figure if the mood strikes me, I might do some sniff stuff. But otherwise, I just can’t stand being down there. lol
Raiding, M+, farming mats, Crafting don’t reward rep. AKA you have to grind outside the base end game to farm side quests, wq’s, event, and whatnot to gain the rep and even then it a slog
I’ve mostly been slowly doing open world things and leveling alts this expansion and have zero reps at 15. Also didn’t go for them because the reward/grind didn’t seem compelling.
I have accepted I will never fly in Dragon Isles, only dragon ride.
That is on you. Rep is and has always been apart of this game for a very long time. If you get going on it now you should be able to knock it out of the park quickly. If not your loss.
Being a filthy casual, and therefore having little to do but the WQ, getting all of the original factions maxed out was basically a matter of a gated grind. As for as the mole people, I was fortunate to do WQ in there when it first opened up and people did the 50% in the area where all the elite crowd/patrols are. I had totally gotten bored with the place but when Blizz dropped their rep-bomb on us I was at about 12, so it was not too tough to sock it out alone. If you don’t have them at 15, might consider the group finder for the WQ. There is bound to be others slogging it out.
Considering how many catch ups are in place, you really have no one to blame but yourself. Just playing the game casually and doing the story quests would have pretty much got you to 16. Just doing the weekly instances and quest gave me enough tokens in the bank to boost two alts to 16 in all reps if I wanted.
They want people to be sold on dragonriding and not give up on it, especially since they are working on expanding it. If regular flight had been given on day 1, I bet quite a few (maybe a majority?) people would have tried it once or twice and said ‘screw this.’ I don’t mind it at all now and kinda like it sometimes especially when I have to go long distances.
For people who were waiting for normal flight to come back, so they could function normally, they of course weren’t maxxed out.
You have the people who took to it right away, who were sold on it. They didn’t need to be convinced. And the people who have struggled with it, because of a variety of disabilities or impairments, they were supposed to work at it until they got over having a disability and decided to become un-disabled?
