Still can’t log in since yesterday 
I was able to get in after several attempts
I launched the game from the .exe in the retail wow folder
I also turned the graphics down to bare minimum, including render resolution.
I bet it was the graphics setting that did it, I noticed many of the people who post their computer specs are running a ryzen 5 3600 - which I am too.
i have an rx570 gpu as well. Hope this info is helpful

US. Realm list takes a while to open and then doesn’t find any characters. Trying to load any realm yields a mostly black screen with an empty character list. Only option is to return to realm list.
some people have said just turning the slider down to 1 wasn’t enough, they had to go through each setting individually and set it to the min.

Same issue for me on the Lothar Server.

Day 2 black screen and unloadable character. yesterday it had this problem too you could see a black screen, go to your toon list, wait til the black screen was gone and your character would appear but now, It completely loads CHARACTER NOT FOUND!!

I cant see all the allied races that I unlocked either when I’m trying to make a new character :(((((((((
Dude, what the hell Blizz, can we please get a response… tried all above remedies to no luck. What the hell is going !?
I’m in the same boat as everyone else, I was just trying to bring a little ‘hope’ into the thread by copy/paste their twitter response… lol
That’s because the server can’t find your characters so they can’t find your achievments. Therefore you don’t have them to have those new classes.

Looks like these issues started last night. I was able to log in with no problem last night, then again early this afternoon (around noon EDT). But currently I am now experiencing the black/blank loading screen for a couple minutes before characters show up, then “Character not found” on any character.
There isn’t a response because they’re still trying to figure out what the problem is. It’s most likely just too much for the servers to handle coupled with a few bugs from the changes they have to iron out. There’s a reason they’re going down for Maintenance tomorrow.
Anyone able to get through with brute force login attempts? I’ve tried about 20 times but no luck.
No work here, try like 50 times and nothing
I have 2 friends on battle.net who are logged in. So maybe we are hitting different login servers? Not sure. Last night I got in, and again at noon today, but no luck tonight.
Very disheartening that this is happening to me again tonight.
Last night, logging into the game on another computer fixed it. Tonight, it’s not working.
Yaaaay. I’ve got a total of about 1 hour of game time since launch.
Same Issue. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could at least play on a new character while they fix my mains. This is literally unplayable.
I knew there would be massive issues but i wasnt expecting it to be this bad.
