If you look to the right hand side of the form where the scroll bar is there is a button labelled “BLIZZ ->” if you click it you will be taken to each and every Blizz response post in this thread for which there are 3 two from yesterday and one now at 40 something minutes ago.

The usual standard answer must have been a robot.
This just worked for me again (same last night):
On character select screen, select menu -> system -> graphics and drop your graphics level all the way down to 1.
Several failed attempts, and this worked. Once in game, you can ramp your graphics back up.

None of my characters are available for log in, load screen gets to around 80% then character not found. At this point when are we expecting to see free game time for wasting our money? I gave the benefit of the doubt yesterday but this is stupid…
Just adding my name to the list, characters don’t show on server list so I have to pick my server out, then when I do find it I get a blacked out character select screen which takes a few mins to load anything. After all that no matter what character I’ve selected, it will show a loading bar for about 2 mins then kick me back out to the selection and say character not found.

At this point, I’m beyond angry. Why isn’t this fixed yet? I pay for the game I’m unable to play for days at a time because a patch was released that obviously wasn’t ready? This is horrible.

Something that worked for my and my guild is to make it to the character select screen, intentionally get character not found, and wait for 5 min on the character select screen. After 5 min try again. It’s worked for a number of us.

I get the same. At the Realm Selection screen, I see the Realms but no characters. Seems that the Realm Selection screen program is not talking to the characters per Realm program. Too many trying to log in. I played lots today, late morning and most of the afternoon. Took a break, and came back this evening. Same thing happening today as it did yesterday. Lots of activity. Sigh. I don’t know what Blizzard is doing, but they are pissing off a lot of people. I hope they give credit on two days of not playing to people!!!
Yeah, I’m sure that “resolution” is to let us rot until tomorrow’s maintenance.

Sezana’s advice worked!
For me, though, it wasn’t enough to just lower the master graphics slider down to 1 - I literally had to go to the lowest resolution, render scale, and turn off every single anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing option. Basically make the game look as awful as possible. And then I got in!
