Party wide twink XP debuff 8.2 .... WHAT?!

They should have fixed it at the start of the expansions. Not taking people’s fun away in an already terrible xpac.

You literally thought that every player knew about it? Now you’re reaching.

Not every single person. I thought a decent amount of people knew it though.

Your opinion on the xpac is just your opinion and has no objective or factual bearing on an exploit. They should have fixed it by banning anyone that twinked. They didn’t. You twinked. And now you’re having a hissy fit.

QQ moar.

You can’t pvp as a 110 anymore after the BG change, ques are hours long, you can get into xp off bgs with a macro, but that’s against TOS and easily detectable. Freehold and islands were there for twinks that got devastated with the pvp change, but nope, gone. Best you can do is try to duel other 110 twinks, but there will be no more after this change goes through.

You can’t be that stupid.

The real question is whether or not this effects twinks outside of island exps. I have twinks at every level bracket to help my friends level up characters in dungeons/questing, so this would be completely devastating. And what if someone wants to turn off their xp to that a friend can catch up to them in level while still playing with them? It is like Blizz doesn’t want people to play together.

It’s not an exploit. It means they turned XP on, so they get queued against non twinks but they gain xp meaning they ruin their twink and outlevel the bracket after a few BGs, making the ‘problem’ quite short lived.

Trying to stop this is pointless, imagine you stopped playing in legion after defeating mythic antorus, then you come back to BFA. You queue a battleground and crush people with your legion gear, then get banned for ‘exploit twinking’ or whatever… when you literally played the game normally. Any strongly geared legion player returning to BFA will have this power… the core issue as i said earlier is the scaling tech.

Yes, I exploited island expeditions to get island mounts. If that’s exploiting sure

Exploiting is taking advatange of a mechanic that isn’t intended. Freehold boosting is just a product of Legion legendaries and level scaling, which is not unintended whatsoever.

Hopefully, the programmers remember how to put Twinks that disabled EXP into their own que, so that this doesn’t become a major issue.

They won’t. and we’re never getting those Mounts, no matter how many Island EXPs we Plug. Dubble Azerite, sure, Debuff on EXP, why not, get them talking, but don’t improve the odds that what whales are left actually get the handfull of reskins, or the Macaw Mount they grind these tedious segments for to begin with. That might compromise “Payer Retention.”

It is an exploit if they turn off their experience at x9 and use some method to enter a battleground that is for non-experience off players.

Indeed.

If it’s done with a twink, it is.

No, you are wrong.

This is false. That is not the purpose of that content. It is not what it was created for. If you don’t have 110 pvp Queues that is entirely the twinking communities fault. Y’all are all high and mighty about how big your community is, then organize yourselves and create queues. Simple as that.

Play the game as intended, or deal with the consequences of being a minority niche.

Xp off is an exploit now?

Still isn’t an exploit if it isn’t “created” for boosting. Legion legendaries, xp off, and scaling are all intended mechanics, people just find creative ways to take advantage of that. At best it’s a semi-exploit, all the mechanics involved are all intended.

Fixed for accuracy.

Gotta play the way they want you to play, just another day for blizzard.

Exactly. They find ways that are legal to be stronger than their level would indicate. The XP off option wasn’t meant for people to abuse it for power levelling other players.

When players use an in game tool for unintended purposes, blizzard has every right to call it an Exploit. They’re not calling it an exploit, they’ve just decided that its not kosher so they’re nerfing it.

Now that they’re going to nuke XP gains, they won’t be able to sell power levelling services.

I literally never pvp. I do the brawls every once in awhile but those require max level.
