Hello, I’m here once again to detail how to get companion pets, this time it’s the companion pets from Mists of Pandaria. Like in my previous posts I’ll try to be as precise as I can and I’m open to corrections if you know of a better way of obtaining these pets or if the information is wrong. Mists of Pandaria is where the battle pet system gets introduced so there’s sure to be quite a lot of new pets being added.

Now as usual I’ll be puting them into categories. This time it’ll be Quests, Professions, World Drops, Vendor, Dungeon/Raids, Achievements, Reputation, Event and Potential Additions and once again I’ll try to be as accurate as I can.
Quests
Pandaren Water, Air, Earth, Fire Spirit
Taken from WoW Head By Jayrai
Once you defeat all of the pet battle master trainers, you receive a quest to battle the four Pandaren Spirit Battle Masters.
You get to choose between four pets as a reward. I suggest picking the one you struggled with the most, so you don’t have to do the daily all the time.
You also unlock dailys for each one which reward Pandaren Spirit Pet Supplies. These goody bags have a small chance of dropping these cute spirit pets.
Each pet drops from specific bags. For example: The Pandaren Water Spirit will only drop from the Pandaren Spirit Pet Supplies that you receive from Flowing Pandaren Spirit’s pet battle daily quest. Same goes for the rest of them.
The Battle Masters are spread out across Pandaria, here is a list to help you find them:
Water - Flowing Pandaren Spirit - Dread Wastes
Earth - Thundering Pandaren Spirit - Kun-Lai Summit
Fire - Burning Pandaren Spirit - Townlong Steppes
Air - Whispering Pandaren Spirit - The Jade Forest
Pandaren Fire Spirit, Pandaren Air Spirit, Pandaren Earth Spirit and Pandaren Water Spirit can all be added to your pet log then caged to be traded with other players, mailed or can even be sold on the auction house.
Red Panda, Sunfur, Mountain Panda, Snowy Panda
To obtain the Red Panda you must complete the quest Beasts of Fable. Where you need to defeat the Elite Battle Pets of the Pandaren fables. Upon Completion you gain access to the daily - Beasts of Fable Book I, which has a chance to drop 3 other pets Sunfur, Mountain Panda and Snowy Panda.
Porcupette
This pet is obtained through either
Leprous Sack of Pet Supplies - A quest from a Gnome in Gnomeregan who you can pet battle as a daily quest. It seems that the NPC is outside of the dungeon and is near the teleporter that the Horde has access to.
It seems that the fight also scales to your level so I’ve seen that it’s advised that you bring a level 1 gnome and fight him with that since the pet is account wide.

Spectral Porcupette
This pet is rewarded from completing the quest A Large Pile of Giant Dinosaur Bones which tasks you with gathering 999 Giant Dinosaur Bones which can be obtained from any mob in the Isle of Giants. The quest is from the NPC Ku’ma in a cave on the western side of the island (33, 53)
Fishy
This pet is obtained through the quest What’s in a Name Name for the Horde and Let Them Burn for the Alliance, it’s part of the Jade forest storyline so I think you’ll need to go through the zone if you want this pet which shouldn’t really be an issue since I assume most people will get this pet passively.
The quests are different for the Horde and the Alliance.
For the Horde you’re tasked with killing 7 Riverstride Jinyu
For the Alliance you’re tasked with killing 15 Grookin Reinforcements or Slingtail Recruits
Should be a very easy pet to obtain.
Profession
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling
This pet is obtained through Engineering and requires
- 4 Ghost Iron Bars
- 6 Trillium Bars
- 2 Spirit of Harmony
The recipe should be learnable through a trainer
Pierre and Rascal-Bot
These pets are obtained through Engineering by using Schematic: Chief Engineer Jard’s Journal, a world drop which will teach you 5 engineering recipies

Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source, a component in which you can only make once per day

Sky Golem, a flying mount that looks like a shredder.

This pet is obtained through Jewelcrafting
The recpies are obtained through looting a Serpent’s Heart. These are obtained through a world drop exclusive for Jewelcrafters. They are crafted from 3 Serpent’s Eye’s which can be either purchased from a vendor for 1 Spirit of Harmony or be crafted from 9 sparkling shards which is obtained from prospecting MoP ores.
Chi-Ji and Yu'lon Kites
These pets are obtained through Inscription, the recipe should be trainable and each only cost.

Tiny Red Carp
This pet is obtained through fishing in Townlong Steppes, in the small lake near Niuzao Temple (35, 52)
The fish can be open water fished but can also be found in pools it semms.
Tiny White Carp
This pet is obtained through fishing in Kun-Lai Summit
46, 41 - Shado-Pan Monastery
33, 44 - Peak of Serenity
73, 48 - Temple of the White Tiger
You might also be able to get it from other zones such as the coast of Sri-La Village in The Jade Forest or the coast of Krasarang Wilds as well.
Tiny Blue Carp
This pet is obtained through fishing in the Timeless Isle, Vale of Eternal Blossoms and Townlong Steppes, specifically the small lake at Niuzao Temple.
Tiny Green Carp
This pet is obtained through inland fishing in Krasarang Wilds, The Jade Forest and Valley of the Four Winds.
Imperial Silkworm
This pet is obtained through tailoring by crafting a Silkworm Cocoon the CD craft of tailoring. Each craft has a chance for the silkworm to be found.
World Drop
Spineclaw Crab
Drops from Monstrous Spineclaw, a rare elite in the Timeless Isle that can be found clockwise from the south eastern side to the north western side of the island.
Lil' Bling
This pet is obtained through Blingtron 4000, he gives a gift that has an account wide cooldown. The gift is obtainable from anyones Blingtron.
Gahz'Rooki's Summoning Stone
This pet is obtained in the Northern Barrens by killing the following mobs
Hellscream Laborer - 31, 23
Mercenary Engineer - 55, 34
Mercenary Shredder - 31, 23
Kor’kron Marauder - 31, 23
Kor’kron Butcher - 44, 47
Zandalari Anklerender, Footslasher and Toenibbler
This pet is obtained from killing the following mobs from the Isle of Giants
Zandalari Dinomancer, elite lvl 90-91 and seem to be concentraed the most in the center of the island (50, 52) or the small island south east of the island (78, 82)

War-God Dokah, found on the small island south east of the Isle of Giants (78, 82)

Primal Devilsaur, found near the center of the island (51, 50)

Primal Direhorn Hatchling, found on the south east side of the island (66, 60)
Not all pets drop from the Direhorns but all pets should drop from everything else.
Ruby Droplet
Drops off of Garnia, a rare elite in the Timeless Isle (63, 30)
Darkmoon Rabbit
This is obtained by killing the Darkmoon Rabbit, a boss level mob that’s on the coast of Darkmoon Island (78 ,78) with 72 million health.
Moon Moon
This obtained by killing Moonfang a boss level mob that spawns after killing Moonfang Snarlers. Once you’ve killed enough Moonfang Dreadhowls will spawn and after you’ve killed those Moonfang will spawn and attack you.
The boss has 174 million health and seems that it’s a free tab (which i can only assume means that both the Horde and Alliance can get it at the same time).
Sunreaver Micro Sentry
This pet is obtained by killing Haywire Sunreaver Construct, a rare in the Isle of Thunder (49, 89)
Jadefire Spirit
This pet is obtained by killing Spirit of Jadfire in the Timeless Isle, Cavern of Lost Spirits
Darkmoon Eye
Is obtained after defeating the Darkmoon Faire Pet Master
Spawn of G'nathus
This is obtained by killing G’nathus an elite that spawns around the northeast/west half of Shan’ze Dao in Townlong Steppes.
Dandelion Frolicker
From WoW Head…
By 943807 (4,847 – 2·6·24) on 2013/09/14 (Patch 5.3.0)
Here’s how you turn these nice guys into attackable…there is a large pink rock crystal called the Neverending Spritewood that will appear near the sprites (roughly the same size as the yellow crystals that are on the large tree the nice sprites are surrounding) that you click on that makes them attackable . (on a side note suggestion, it helps if you bring a friend along to heal you, they can’t help you kill Angry Sprites or Scary Sprites but getting healed while you are in a killing frenzy will most certainly be beneficial to you.)
Then once you kill enough of these good sprites turned bad, well then get ready for the Scary Sprite to pop up! The Scary Sprite of course has a chance to drop the highly sought after new companion pet called the Dandelion Frolicker.
Gulp Froglet
This pet is obtained by killing Bufo, a rare elite in the Timeless Isle or from Gulp Frogs. Both are located at 65, 69 the south eastern coast of the island.
Death Adder Hatchling
This pet is obtained by killing an Imperial Python, a rare elite in the Timeless Isle. The mob itself seems to not have a fixed spawn and can be anywhere in the central to west/south-west part of the island.
Ominous Flame
This pet is obtained by killing a Foreboding Flame in the Timeless Isle, Cavern of Lost Spirits
Imbued Jade Fragment
This pet is obtained by killing either Karr the Darkener, a rare in the Dread Wastes or from Vengeful Gurthani Spirits both of which are located at 72, 38 with the rare having a higher chance to drop the pet I would assume.
Hollow Reed
This pet is obtained by killing Nalash Verdantis, a rare in the Dread Wastes located 64, 59
Skunky Alemental
This pet is obtained by killing the following mobs
Zhu-Gon the Sour, a rare in the Timeless Isle
Skunky Brew Alemental, an elite in the Timeless Isle
Both are located at (38, 77)
Direhorn Runt
This is obtained by killing the following mobs in the Isle of Giants

This pet is obtained by killing Leafmender, a rare in the Timeless Isle located 68, 44
Azure Crane Chick
This pet is obtained by looting a Crane Nest, in the Timeless Isle, surrounding The Celestial Court.
Swarming of Gu'chi
This pet is obtained by killing Gu’chi the Swarmbringer, a rare in the Timeless isle. It can spawn anywhere surrounding Old Pi’jiu (or it wanders around).
Half-Emptu Food Container
This pet is obtained by killing Quivering Filth which are mobs located in the Isle of Thunder (52, 80) Near Ihgaluk Crag.
Vendor
Bonkers
This pet is obtained in the Timeless Isles by handing in 500 Timeless Coins to the NPC Master Kukuru (59, 40) for a key which can then be used to open a chest surrounding the NPC
Yu'la, Broodling of Yu'lon / Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-Ji / Zao, Calfling of Niuzao
These pets are obtained from Master Li in the Timeless Isle for 3 Celestial Coins. Celestial Coins are obtained by completing The Celestial Tournament, a weekly that rewards one coin. Or a one time reward from the quest The Rainy Day is Here (rewards 2).
Both are pet battle related, Master Li is locacted at 34, 60 in the Celestial Court.
Vengeful Porcupette
This pet is obtained from Speaker Gulan in the Timeless Isle for 100 Bloody Coins, Bloody Coins are obtained by killing others within the Timeless Isle.
Speaker Gulan is located at 75, 45
Flimsy/Sky Lantern
These pets are obtained from Ku-Mo in the Timeless Isle, 500 for the Flimsy Sky Lantern and 7,500 for the normal Sky Lantern.
Ku-Mo is located at 41, 64 near the Celestial Court.
Warbot Ignition Key
This pet is obtained by any of the toy merchants in your capital city costing 500-400g depending your reputation discount.
Jepetto Joybuzz in Dalaran 45, 46
Blax Bottlerocket in Orgrimmar, pats from 58, 63 to 58, 51 near The Drag
Craggle Wobbletop in Stormwind, pats on the canal side of the Trade District.

These drop off of the Sha of Pride in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid.

This pet is obtained by killing Paragons of the Klaxxi and encounter within the Seige of Orgrimmar.
Blackfuse Bombling
Drops off of Siegecrafter Blackfuse in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid.

This is obtained by killing Loatheb in Naxxramas.

This pet is obtained by killing Prince Malchezaar in Karazhan.
Tideskipper
This pet is obtained by killing Morogrim Tidewalker in Serpent Shrine Caverns.
Coilfang Stalker
This pet is obtained by killing Lady Vashj in Serpent Shrine Caverns.
Lesser Voidcaller
This pet is obtained from killing Astromancer Solarian in Tempest Keep.
Menagerie Custodian
This pet is obtained by killing The Curator in Karazhan.
Fiendish Imp
This pet is obtained by killing Terestian Illhoof in Karazhan.
Tainted Waveling
This pet is obtained by killing Hydross the Unstable in Serpent Shrine Caverns.
Pocket Reaver
This pet is obtained by killing Void Reaver in Tempest Keep.
Phoenix Hawk Hatchling
This pet is obtained by killing Al’ar in Tempest Keep.
Achievement
Feral Vermling
This pet is obtained by collecting 250 unique pets.
Thundering Serpent Hatchling
This pet is obtained by completing every Pandaria Challenge Mode dungeon with a rating of Gold while in a guild group.
It give you the achivement… Challenge Conquerors: Gold - Guild Edition and is a guild feat of strength achievement.
Mr. Bigglesworth
This pet is obtained by completing the Raiding with Leashes achievement, where you need to collect all of the battle pets from Classic raids.
Hopling
This pet is obtained by completing the Ling-Time’s Herbal Journey achievement, where you need to collect all 30 Golden Hoplings hidden around the Stormstout Brewery on any difficulty.
This is also part of the MoP dungeon meta achivement.
Jade Tentacle
This pet is obtained by completing the Time to Open a Pet Store achievement, where you need to earn 400 pet battle achievement points.
Venus
You obtain this pet is obtained by collecting 400 unique pets.
Tito's Basket
This pet is obtained by completing the achievement Raiding with Leashes II: Attunement Edition where you need to get all of the pets from TBC raids.
Stunted Direhorn
This pet is obtained by completing the achievement Brutal Pet Brawler where you need to win 250 PvP pet battles through find battle witha full team of level 25 pets.
Singing Cricket Cage
This pet is obtained by completing the achievement Pro Pet Mob where you ned to raise 75 pets to level 25.
Reputation
Red Cricket
This is mailed to your once you’ve reached exalted with Sho.
Tiny Goldfish
This pet is obtained from Nat Pagle in Krasarang Wilds for 250g
Nat Pagle is located at 68, 43 and requires Honoured to buy.
Hormonious Porcupette
This pet is obtained from Mistweave Ku in the Timeless Isle for 7,500 Timeless Coins
Mistweaver Ku is located at 43, 54 and requires revered to buy.
Fox Kit
Fox Kit makes a return from it being a world drop with it now also being purchasable pet for 200 Tol’Barad Commendations from the respective faction quartermasters Brazie and Pogg.
Brazie (Alliance) is located 73, 63
Pogg (Horde) is located 55, 81
World Event
Only one new world event pet was added it seems, I initally thought there were none until I came across this…
Rotten Helper Box
This pet is obtained from a Stolen Present during Winter Veil
And that it, this should be all of the pets that are going to be added in Mists of Pandaria. If I made a mistake then please comment and I’ll update it as soon as I see it.
