As we approach the moment when WoW Classic players will make the choice to move on to The Burning Crusade Classic (version 2.5.1) or stick with Classic Era (version 1.13.7), we will be connecting many Classic Era realms during maintenance on Tuesday, May 18. Being perfectly honest, if I had updates that I could provide at this time, I 100% already would have. I have absolutely passed the feedback along, but I cannot reveal what plans we have, if any, until/if they’re announced publicly.

For now, there will be no paid transfers in Era. And, the free transfers that are available will remain available.

If and when Blizz is going to change things, we might be told or, as has been happening, it will just come as a suprise.

Your update is appreciated and we understand that this isn’t your call, you’re just relaying information as you have it. Thank you for your efforts.

Unfortunately, this puts those of us on Grob in a very difficult position, one where it feels like our community is less valued. We pay our subscription fee just the same as anyone else in any other community, yet now our community…

• … is not permitted to grow via realm transfers for players who want to move away from the main cluster environment.
• … is permitted to be abused by professional farmers and bots, farming materials for long hours and then utilizing free transfers to move those materials to Whitemane.

Prior to the change, while it was still frustrating to share our server with the farmers, at least we could grow our community. I hope you, and those you represent, can appreciate why this change has caused such frustration. Especially given that it kind of came out of the blue.

Since you’re responding to folks on here , any chance you could pass along the requests for the ability to copy / transfer our anniversary classic characters to classic era when TBC comes out ? Also requests for TBC era servers ? Apologies again for posting in the wrong forum but a LOT of people really want to hear about these two issues

Yes please allow transfers off Deviate Delight like Pale has asked. It is completely dead and nobody can transfer off now. At least let us pay or something.

How is a companies transparency this bad with something so small? Makes no sense. Nobody even asked for this and not even a warning. Now i have 3 characters stuck on a realm that is dead and can’t do anything about it. Would have transferred off if I knew this would happen but of course blizzard can’t communicate with customers at all. Actually ridiculous. Been riding off a great game made 20 years ago by people who don’t even work there anymore and destroying it more very year.

because you cancelled paid transfers in ERA without any warning leaving me stranded on Whitemane.

Just cancelled WOW2 account because of this. More accounts will follow. I’ll happily resub all accounts when you reverse this decision and I can return to Mankrik and resume my summoning duties.

Please let me transfer my healer toon to Whitemane where I have a guild eager for me to raid with it. Most businesses WANT my money, it’s odd to find one that is refusing to take it, at least for this.

Many of us rolled on deviate Delight to experince fresh Classic. DD is now dead and most of us never wanted to play on a PvP server but it was our only option. There are few raiding guilds and many have left for Dreamscythe. Now that you have released a real fresh PvE Classic please allow us to leave this PvP RP realm. I personally want to go to Dreamscythe a PvE Classic server that I always wanted. I feel that this doesn’t defet the purpose of “fresh” because of the low pop that is stuck on DD, it won’t have an impact any more then helping to fill out the raiding guilds that already exist.

It boggles the mind… why would blizzard stop paid transfers between era servers? Why are they stranding players on servers they don’t want to be on? Come on blue, fixing this is easy.
