P2 Removal of Glory of the Raider Achievements

Ah yeah you’re right…

In the Trial of the Grand Crusader, reach a Tribute Chest with 50 attempts remaining and without allowing any raid member to die during any of the boss encounters in 25-player mode.

Oh it seems I was thinking about 10 man TotGC…

In the Trial of the Grand Crusader, reach a Tribute Chest with 50 attempts remaining in 10-player mode.

Another opportunity to fix the problems Retail created by making those mounts restricted by item level and level is a good compromise.

Doing Herald of the Titans in MOP was a fun experience to level a toon to 80 and gear it with appropriate gear just for the achievement.

Removing the feeling of accomplishment of doing an achievement by letting people do it when it,s a complete joke was one of the big mistakes of Retail.

And same goes with xmog btw. Should have never been able to solo raids for xmog. It’s an MMO, find people who wants to farm like you and make a raid, that’s how it works.

Capping P1 Meta achieves at 213/226 is an excellent middle ground if it comes to that.

But anyone pretending these achieves are of any real signifigance are kidding themselves.
The content is solved, player power is signifigantly higher due to multiple factors like final patch balancing, minmaxing characters, stacking raids and the benefit of 15 years hardware improvements making gameplay smooth and addons giving players unfathomable levels of information.

But my vote goes to leaving the achievements in, i want my pepega alts to have 310% flying for minimising the time i need to fly to the next raid/dungeon because… f*** the ‘experience’

This. Cap at 213 ilvl and it’s extra content.
Ulduar has such inflated ilvl that Naxx Glory would be a joke. Well… Someone might still screw up, but yeah.

If they were to implement a cap it should be 226 not 213.

lmao at all these sweatlords thinking they’re elite, playing a 20yo game with encounters, specs, and BiS lists that have been handed to you by actual elites that did 100% of the work and theory crafting for you. All you did was smash keys in the right order. Touch grass and let people have their mounts and titles.

Literally everyone had the dps check achievments day 1. It’s undying, they all go down together, and shocking that are the issue. No amount of gear will make those easier.

Removing them is stupid and saying they’re special is stupid and here’s why:
The content is braindead easy. The hardest part is finding 9 or 24 other people who aren’t total idiots to get Undying/Immortal done. None of the other achievements take any amount of skill or practice. Most of us probably got half the meta the first week by just doing the raid.

if you havent gotten the meta achievements yet and you’re in a guild that has cleared the raids, you either don’t want them, aren’t trying for them, don’t care about them, or are terrible and can’t get them. Either way, they should be removed because the content is easy enough to attain BOTH of these achievements. And anyone that argues hasn’t gotten the achievements so they cry on the forums demanding they be left in game so they can walk in with gear 2 phases later in a pug and obtain these 310% mounts.

uh pretty sure gear would make undying easier. You’d have more health, more damage which equates to faster boss kills and less chance of people dying. Are you missing something or just braindead?

Shocking and They All Go Down Together is easy though? Are people actually struggling to complete those?

So you want the ulduar ones removed too?
LMAO

How does not removing them impact you in any way?

But how does people getting achievements or 310% flying mounts impact you at all? Does it honestly matter whether they keep them in or remove them? Is status that important on a rerun of a 15 year old game?

They should be left in the game, there’s no real prestige in having it in Classic, even in retail the only one that has some grandeur is the Black Proto-Drake because the Plagued can go onto the black market.

I don’t really find anything special about a recolour, we got 8 Proto-Drakes, if there were only one Proto-Drake then I’d find it special. I think Ashes of Al’ar is more special and unique than any of the Proto-Drakes.

Blizzard should keep the Glory of the Raider 10/25 man meta achievement rewards in the game just like how they should keep the TotGC mounts in the game when ICC comes out.

I don’t know why people are fussing over this.

Maybe they could add a Feat of Strength for people who complete it before Ulduar comes out?

That way people coming later can still get the mount and achievement but not the Feat of Strength.

I fail to see the con?

Classic characters likely won’t be able to transfer to retail at any point so whether or not they remove it in classic changes nothing for retail players.

And for classic characters, this is our reliving the glory days. I agree with you that it’d be fine to keep it in. This is the victory lap. Who cares either way?

Shocking bugs out more than it doesn’t. We have had 5 runs with zero damage from the charges and still don’t have the achievment. They all go down together might just be the hardest one of the bunch. It would actually be easier if they had more health. 15s is a very small window and the faster you kill them the harder it is to not overshoot.

More gear won’t help undying either since the places you fail at it are instant 1 shots that can happen early enough into a fight that you can’t counter it by just killing it faster.
