And someone always will be. But you seem to be missing the point: threatening other add-on managers with what is clearly a legal practice is a crappy move and they’re being called out on it. People have already said that they spoke to Wowup and did actually threaten them.
If you want to support a company that threatens others and tries to control add-ons, then you do you. But don’t act like Overwolf is some benevolent company.

I know the feeling, where my mother lives housing is like that, and if you want work you better either know someone or work horrible hours at the plastics factory.

This is all pretty far from the topic of Overwolf being a garbage company that is run by human scum however.
I don’t think Overwolf is benevolent. That would be naive. If they were benevolent (and rich) they wouldn’t mind that wowUp and others are using their investment to harm their bottom line.
wowUp is using curseforge without contributing to it. If everyone used Wowup curseforge could not continue to exist. That’s the point.

Unfortunately when you do M+ and raiding there’s addons that need to be updated almost daily :S
Not really it will just take more time its still not a hard thing to do
Like DBM. I update it every few weeks, tops.
I dont update my addons very often to begin with. My weakauras haven’t been updated since 8.3 lol.
DBM not being updated can cause issues though, I’ve had bad timers from 1 out of date update. (Well, BigWigs, I prefer it over dbm lol)
