You just proved my point.
Not all of us have been playing on private servers and 17k people per realm is just way too much in my opinion.
Clearly the solution is to open more RP servers!
…no? Just me, huh?
I think we all do. Herod is as close as we will get to a mega-server and itll be the last server to ever die. Guaranteed.
…and I could look up lots of people saying “Oh, queues don’t bother us, don’t give us any layering and just let the queues stack up, it’s part of the Classic experience” and now of course, it’s “no no, we can’t have queues and we refuse to change servers, so Blizz, just fix it now, dammit. NOW.”
That’s their attitude about everything. Complain, whine, beg, give us this nao
Don’t be silly. I’m going to get to know each and every one of those people personally. And no layers, I want all 17k of them in my living room and in my quest zone every minute.
They are 20 times more fun than authentic vanilla will ever be.
I honestly do not get it. There have been multiple posts stating several hours of queues and people are still set on staying.
There have been two chances to reroll on a fresh new server and people are still saying they want transfers to keep their name?? That was your opportunity to transfer over and keep your name!!
Also, to everyone saying that they want a ‘healthy’ population, it has been addressed sooo many times. Even if/when a medium server has lost players it will still be healthy. The post even clarifies that Low pop servers are still “Full” by Vanilla standards so even if/when the drop off occurs IT WILL STILL BE HEALTHY!
I feel like at this point, everyone who continues to state that are being absolutely dense and stubborn.
I just needed to vent about this pure denseness.
Also, I am just adding that I have not subbed as yet and know a few people IRL who have not either. We plan on doing that Friday or the weekend.
People are just scared of dead servers. Herod is so full because it is the go to server that people think will be there for ever. It is also why people park their name placeholding alts there but will never play on Herod. 2/3 of Herods current population is just name placeholders, its not that overpopulated.
I don’t know what to do anymore. All medium servers going to be full on launch now according to this blue post? So I can expect a queue no matter what I choose! How many more people will sub on launch? This is so concerning.
Yeah, we can continue to agree to disagree on that.
Herod is so full because the big streamers collectively agreed not to go there so people think they’re gonna somehow magically have a different experience than anywhere else.
No, I understand the queue times will be garbage. I’m not going to complain about that. The silly thing is they’re asking us to move servers to fix their lack of planning when there’s no current option. They’re all very populated already. They don’t want to commit to a full release because “you think you do, but you don’t” mentality.
Basically.
What am I suppose to do Blizzard? I have a 100 guild members who have made their characters on Herod and are ready to go? Trickling out 1 or two servers every day or so isn’t a fix to the issue. Trying to organize a server change is insane at this point. Make the server unavailable to mach characters if that is the issue, I will not leave because this smells like Nazjatar all over again and I will not be on a dead server. I also don’t understand why you can’t handle excess of 10k players. Northdale ran fine with loads of 18k +. Come on boys, this is like Christmas to us, and we want Santa, not the Grinch.
Just lock the servers that are overpopulated 4Head.
It’s not lack of planning on their part when everyone rolled on Herod and ignored the other servers. Blizz started opening servers as they saw need, but people are STILL rolling on Herod. Don’t blame Blizz for this.
No one wants layering, that’s why. So you get queues.
Its ok. 8 hour queue means we can log in before we go to sleep and once we wake up, will he an hour away from the character selection screen.
Herod or nothing.
