Outlaw Rogue Bug is Corrected and Actions Underway

Hunter and paladin with auto sac and ele shaman abusing Single Target Ascendance applies all 6 Flame Shocks to that main target and a bunch of overloads.

Anyone that abuse a bug/ exploit should get a full season ban + 1month minimum so they restart late .

Interesting point
is BlizZard going to be handing out bans as well for Elemental Shamans blowing up multiple targets in arena? Or other specs and classes doing exploits?

You may have also broken Supercharger’s interaction with Eviscerate on other specs (Subtlety Trickster)

Don’t worry, that negatively impacts us so it’ll be fixed probably about the same time as Recoup finally gets fixed and actually works.

So, 7-10 business years?

Awesome, so can you guys fix Evis benefiting from supercharger? Because whatever hotfix you applied to fix the Outlaw exploit has destroyed this talent for Subtlety

How do things like this make it through PTR and in-house testing? Did your management even start working on fixing your production processes yet?

Probably the same way that PTR was killed and they did massive last minute untested nerfs while pushing a PTR build that didn’t have multiple class buffs from last month added.

S-Priest is a good example. Their buffs were reverted because the PTR build we got pushed to live wasn’t being tested with them added. So, their buffs were removed after the patch.

Not even sure why we have access to PTR mid expansion. They roll this stuff out despite a litany of testing and ignore all the bug reports. It’s basically the exact same as not doing it and not testing internally as is.

Yes those are all major quality control issues, happening yet again in TWW, which is why I’m asking if they even started investigating what is wrong with their processes.
I am not expecting an answer.

Coming from working in the tech sector for a number of years, no. The answer is almost certainly no.

“Go fast and break things” is the old Google adage, and most AAA gaming companies have been taking that to heart in the last few years.

No Man’s Sky did a miracle recovery, and now every AAA company thinks they can push half-done material out and just fix it later. This is a systemic issue in the entire industry. And it’s starting to bite them in the rear.

A temporary ban or suspension is just that, temporary.

The accounts (and group members knowingly involved) should be ineligible for title on account rest of season.

The rogue tech is premeditated bug abusing. These people who intentionally abuse bugs always believe exploit early exploit often. And healers and tanks in specific groups in the top end knowingly invited these people.

Deter the behavior forever, you see something unintended you should be afraid to repeat that behavior.

Again, The accounts (and group members knowingly involved) should be ineligible for title on their account(s) the rest of season.

So, what about Sub rogue Shadowed Finishers being bugged six ways to Sunday? What about Sectech’s clone hits not benefitting from literally anything that buffs us? What about Nimble Flurry not cleaving ANY of the bonus damage from Shadow Blades?

This stupid dog company with their subhuman level of competence is just absolute cinema.

The talent was the default talent. MOST hunters didn’t choose the talent or know anything was wrong. Just felt like a strong rework like ret paladin 10.0.7. Ret was actually better tbh lol.

Anyone who has played an outlaw rogue would immediately know this was an unintended bug. Infinite 5 combo point finishers has never been and will never be an intended behavior. If I was in a raid and was suddenly able to mash a single button for the entire fight that isn’t meant to work that way, and continued to do so, I would be exploiting. Why are you running defense so hard for cheaters?

Well glad to see some consistency
Ohh wait, they never did ban that guy for exploiting to 1k’s of peeps durin RWF after being told explicitly, not to exploit/cheat lol
