Because rewards should be proportionate to the content they’re given in. That’s the absolute best way to design RPGs and give people reasons to keep playing.
By that logic, you don’t need safety equipment ever because nothing can go wrong and everything goes perfectly.
Why? Blizzard clearly understands how to make Mythic compelling and give it long-term sustainability. And they’re the ones designing the game.
You keep forgetting that not everyone is a world first raider. I personally am not willing to spend 16+ hours a day, for a week or more straight, doing hundreds to thousands of attempts, spending millions and millions of gold, just to beat a boss quickly.
Are you? If you are, you can have the best gear. You’d earn it.
I like challenging content. I do challenging content because I like challenging content. What keeps me going after I’ve completed all of it is gear. I imagine it’s the same for a lot of players.
You invalidate everything you said. This alone makes it clear - you think there is one way to play the game. YOUR way. And if you dont play it the way YOU say is the “right” way then you must not know how to play the game and absolutely should not be rewarded.
Your arrogance is through the roof and no wonder you dont want other people to have a path to get gear.
To be fair, student loans are predatory and tuition is absolutely ludicrous in the US. The interest is staggering and isn’t intended to promote further education but business, and that business being young people.
Taking bad degrees is, well, bad though. And it doesn’t help that children are raised being told they need a degree - and are rarely ever told they need specific degrees.
Uh, there’s many ways to play the game. But playing correctly is different. For example, you play a Warlock. The best way to play is to not run in and start meleeing - but the option is there. I’d argue that’s playing the game wrong.
Everything else is varying degrees of min/maxing and the like. But if you’re running in and meleeing mobs in the world, getting the best gear in the game isn’t the first thing you should be worried about.
Are you meleeing things on your Warlock? You seem to rely entirely on personal attacks and are brushing off any and all personal responsibility.
No one is saying raiders cant keep raiding and getting gear from raiding. Raiding is how I personally get my gear. I support it.
I think there are millions of players who enjoy different content than I do and I have no problem if they get similar ilevel gear. It doesnt hurt me. I am happy for them if it helps them do their content better
Like you, I can have an opinion. congratulations to both of us. And how do you know what they do or dont want? I’m not allowed to speak for all of them but you are?
Correct, you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, just as we are all entitled to ours. However, relying entirely on personal attacks and insulting others because they do not share your opinion isn’t appropriate.
You also completely ignored my post talking about the, “right way” to play the game. Did it not fit your narrative? Haven’t come up with any more insults yet?
Nobody here is speaking for them. We’re merely saying if they want the gear, the ways to get it are more than accessible and there are a number of ways.
Not everyone hits the same potential. Some people need more gear to perform at the same level.
Mythic raiders do need gear. You acknowledge that gear means “kill things faster”. Now allow me to introduce you to things called “enrage timers” where if you don’t kill things fast enough, you don’t kill it at all.
Why do people assume, on both sides, that casuals can’t do mythics for gear? No one is calling them unable. It is very doable for a casual player to get +10s done and higher. Time+Difficulty=Reward. Simple.
Nobody’s really saying they can’t. The people in question are talking about people who don’t want to do it, and who want Mythic quality gear by doing WQs.
Not sure who’s really stating that they can’t, but I want them to do it. I hold the expectation for players to play the game if the want to reap the rewards.
