And the WQ’er will also have this.
You would like Black Desert Online, can farm gear and turn it into the best gear in game through simply grinding trivial content.
I just know that I hate it that it takes just as much effort to kill world mobs at 175 ilvl compared to 205 ilvl, it’s stupid, you never feel any stronger in the world zones… yes ilvl is great in M+, raids, pvp… but people that only do WQs and such will never feel any stronger by getting better gear… granted, I am not one of those, I haven’t really done a wq in weeks, mainly just M+, but when I do world content, I feel just as weak as I did when I first hit lvl cap… which is ridiculous…
They’re introducing that soon though Valor points. You do so many mythics a week, doesn’t matter what level (Obviously higher ones will net you more but you still get them for lower) and you can use them to upgrade your gear. Mythics 1-3 is not hard at all, even at a 179 ilvl which is basically handed to you through covenants.
I know, and I am fine as is now. And happier now that people will have more chocies, but, raiders need a little bit of love too, apparently raiders wont be recivieng much from that sistem
And also, why not add a vendor as the one from bfa or a kin to the pvp one
They (kind) of have one through the anima tokens. Hard as hell to get but when you get it, man is it a good day. But I do think raids should be a bit harder with higher rewards, it is the end game after all. Especially when the LFR rewards 187 (lower than covenant and pvp gear) and normal rewards 200 ilvl gear. Complete bullocks in my opinion.
I would try it. If my pc could handle it lol
Yeah, but compared to pvp, people that only do pve are screwed, the dont have rings, or trinkets or more importantly Easy acces to weapons.
Profession weapons sucks
How do you people not understand that it affects everyone?
I’m just going to assume all these threads are just troll threads.
If it is available to you as the lowest denominator then it is available to everyone which means it ruins everyone’s experience.
Having the highest available gear for the lowest effort/difficulty immediately makes it the best rewards in the game due to availability.
M+ gear? Irrelevant these new “WQ rewards” are better
Heroic raiding? Irrelevant
Normal raiding? Irrelevant
Mythic raiding? Devalued
PvP gearing? Irrelevant
I love how people say “how does this affect you” like they are the only people capable of doing WQ content
I didn’t “earn” anything, I played a video game
They might be shocked to learn that they’re not as good as they think they are; that it’s the gear that carries them.
I’m going to counter your question with a question.
Can you name one good RPG that didn’t have a gear progression system that requires you to face ever increasing challenges to get more rewards?
I’ll wait.
Diablo 2 is a small game you may have heard of. The best gear didn’t come from the last zone or the hardest bosses. It came from the highest difficulty but the mobs that dropped it were easily farmable for any class and build.
People ran that content, which was pretty easy, over and over waiting for the correct gear to drop.
Because some people think that an io score or difficulty gives them some type of value real life.
News flash: an io score means nothing to people in real life…how you relate to others and those relationships do!!!
It is called elitism and it is a cancer to any game.
Now keep in mind the really really good players, like world first guilds, could obviously care less about what is noobs have.
I would like to see a source for this claim.
WHY do you care if I have the same gear from world quests that you get from M+15
Because that is just not how a progression gear system works and what has kept people playing this game over the many years. You do not need 226 gear to kill a world quest. But people DO need 226 gear to kill M+ and higher raids.
“to do the stuff I like to do faster,”
Then congratulations! You can! Simply walk into a Normal or above raid or run some higher keys with your friends/guild members.
If you don’t understand why destroying the entire RPG aspect of a gear progression game can be bad. I don’t know how else to explain it. As its been explained a million times.
This is the only answer that is needed.
It’s just the new hot topic is all, spurred on my valour points being added for M+ runners.
It’ll move onto Pathfinder here shortly.
Quite true!
if i woke up tomorrow, and they started dropping mythic 15 gear from callings, id be upset because im busting my hump to try to time 13’s thorugh 15’s.
if they continued to increase ilvl from covenants time gated behind renown and it took about 5 months, then i wouldnt care. ill get my 15 gear before you get your 226 covenant gear.
i could then choose to do covenant stuff on an alt if i felt like changing things up.

Apples and oranges. Diablo 2 was a single player game with a multiplayer option. WOW is a MMORPG. That’s two completely different genres and design philosophies.
Maybe you should stick with Diablo 3 or a single player game. MMORPGs are clearly not for you.

This almost contradicts itself. You were the first to get to be all super deadly in the first setup. With a single calling per day, joe nobody gets a whopping single chance to win the lottery. Hell, you get the same lottery ticket, and your still more deadly.
Funny thing, in like 6-19 months, we all get to farm new and better gear anyways.
its an example. read more into it before picking it apart. maybe try to find the point in it instead of picking apart the details.
