Yup, funny how I’m defending earning your rewards, is that what the lol was for?
Woe is me!
Or maybe not every guild is filled with a bunch of angsty teenagers who can stand to fail 2 or three times while learning a fight.
Also, Not everyone is in a rush to go nowhere. We progress at about a boss or two per week. Theres nothing unreasonable about that.
Actually there are also grade related scholarships and ones awarded for doing public service, quite an extensive list actually. Thanks for actually making the argument for a variety of ways to get the same thing.
And yes I’ve seen FULL scholarship for those you can look it up if you don’t believe me.
Thanks for coming into this discussion and being rational and well adjusted.
lol what?
Well how else am I supposed to brag about me with out having to say a word?
Hmmm I believe you took my remark as an attack on you and your guild.
It was not meant to be one.
I do not know, or care about how you and your guild do your day to day activities.
If you are happy then it works fine.
My experiences have been quite a bit different.
Just words?
What a letdown.
I know right.
Still waiting for you to quote me saying anyone is better than anyone else or that Ive got good stuff.
Because when us ‘eLiTiSt’ players want to gear, we want to gear via ‘eLiTiSt’ content. I don’t want to be stuck doing brain dead WQs all day to gear up, but if playing 5 minutes of flappy bird gives me the same reward that a +15 does, I’m going to be playing a lot of flappy bird.
The issue is, I play WoW to push keys, rating, and raid progression. I don’t play WoW to play flappy bird.
“The answer is simple”, I’m sure you find yourself thinking, “Just gear through M+/PvP/raiding instead of playing flappy bird, nobody is forcing you to do content you don’t want to do”. And you’d technically be right, I don’t HAVE to do WQs to gear up. However, when it takes 5 minutes of WQ for the same drop as a +15, doing that +15 is just signing up to waste time for a drop that isn’t even guaranteed.
Yeah it does.
If you can get 220 by doing nothing, then I can get 220 by doing nothing. Which means I have far less of a reason to do something difficult that’ll reward me with 220 ilvl.
Devs figured out that if people can get free loot, they won’t do difficult content, that’s why now we got tons more doing m+, raids and pvp than in BFA, because you have to, to progress in gear.
If you don’t see the correlation of BFA being most dead expansion in player count, with BFA being most loot rewarding, then idk what to tell you. Despite general forums crying, Shadowlands is great success, the sheer amount of groups in group finder is a sign of that. Around 10 times more groups than in BFA for all 3 pillars of content (raid, pvp, m+)
MAybe not, maybe yes.
But, if people want to expent 50,000 valor point, to get their gear to 225, doing what they want to do. WHat is wrong with it ? you still worked towards it, and grinded your butt off too.
Or you could get lucky and get a 225 on a mythic, wich would be easier than grinding your butt off
By doing a no-fail simple thing.
Don’t confuse “more challenging” and “more tedious”
Transmog exists, my dear friend.
I think it’s time for you guys to get over this. I’m going to get that look eventually. Even if it’s next expac.
So, it’s either about pixels, or a number at this point.
If it’s about pixels? Guess what? My casual butt gets different colored gear.
And I’m not going to be the same ilvl as you probably until way into the next raid patch because I don’t log in every single day, much less more than twice a week anymore.
I’m not doing YOUR content: why do you care about what ilvl I might actually have on a piece of gear 3 months later?
I’ve been waiting for this answer for years at this point.
RaiderIO exists if it’s a “But the casual player might be terribad” comment.
what is the difference ? IF casuals are so bad, why they just cant grind a heroic raid to get some conquest points to get some upgrades to work towards ? for a few months to gear ?
Relevance?
Ok. So whats the problem?
People are asking for the ilvl now. Not next raid patch.
I also don’t log in every day.
What do you think “my” content is?
Why are you ignoring that people are asking for the same ilvl NOW. Not in 3 months?
Whats the difference in doing something challenging vs doing something trivial, repetitively?
The issue is the people in question don’t want to do even that.
If it is not available from solo wqs basically. Or a simple questline. Its too much.
There isn’t any reason to be rude about it, Abotou.
It doesn’t matter anyway as my friends and I are unsubbed.
I might have an unpopular opinion here, but I think horrific visions were amazing in this regard. Solo-casual content that gave corrupted gear and scaled difficulty with iLVL to a point where you could get competitive gear from 5 mask runs, and nobody seemed to be put out that it gave such good rewards because it took effort.
If you take away the cloak system and corruption in general, I’d say that horrific visions were hands down the best part of BfA’s gameplay.
All they need to do is replicate this with Torghast. Start giving gear with TC runs, I’d say a floor 8 TC is just as hard if not harder than a +10, so it could give a comparable reward.
This way solo casual players have a gearing system that fits their style of play, but it would befit the challenge level. Just don’t add corruption or cloak levels so that more ‘hardcore’ players aren’t forced to slog through content they don’t want to do.
